Everyone takes a crack a mock draft, and no one ever gets it right. What is a "successful" mock draft anyways? Getting 12 picks right? :lolol: Anyways, here goes nothing. I've included a couple of trades, but you can never predict all the right trades.

    1. Houston Texas - LB Khalil Mack, Buffalo - Better fit in Crennel's 3-4 scheme than Clowney. I wouldn't personally make this pick but I think it makes sense for the Texans.
    2. Atlanta Falcons (f/ St Louis) - DE Jadeveon Clowney, South Carolina - Falcons trade up to potentially get the draft's #1 player. Dimitroff makes another big splash.
    3. Jacksonville Jaguars - WR Sammy Watkins, Clemson - Jags opt for the most explosive offensive player in the draft. Blackmon's certainty is in the air. Big position of need.
    4. Cleveland Browns - OT Greg Robinson, Auburn - Browns put Robinson on the right side and secure the best pair of OTs in the league.
    5. Oakland Raiders - QB Johnny Manziel, Texas A&M - Raiders just can't help themselves - they take the flashy albeit controversial pick.
    6. St Louis Rams (f/ Atlanta) - WR Mike Evans, Texas A&M - Rams still get their WR and picked up some extra picks in the process.
    7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - OT Jake Matthews, Texas A&M - Three straight Aggies off the board. Bucs get some desperate OL help with perhaps the safest pick in the draft.
    8. Minnesota Vikings - DT Aaron Donald, Pittsburgh - Zimmer had Atkins in Cincy and he gets his guy Donald in Minnesota.
    9. Buffalo Bills - OT Taylor Lewan, Michigan - The run on OTs continue as Buffalo solidifies its OL.
    10. Detroit Lions - CB Darqueze Dennard, Michigan St - Lions got a close look at him from East Lansing. Desperately need secondary help.
    11. Tennessee Titans - OLB Anthony Barr, UCLA - Whiz and Horton are looking for a lynchpin in their new 3-4. Barr is the guy.
    12. New York Giants - TE Eric Ebron, North Carolina - Gmen get a little snakebitten missing out on the OTs and DL help. Ebron will make a nice weapon for Eli.
    13. St Louis Rams - S Haha Clinton-Dix, Alabama - Rams need a general in their secondary. Clinton-Dix is the best S in the draft.
    14. Chicago Bears - S Calvin Pryor, Louisville - Bears love physical defences and Pryor is as physical as it gets.
    15. Pittsburgh Steelers - CB Justin Gilbert - Steelers are desperate for a top tier CB and they get one in Gilbert. Much needed INTs coming in the future.
    16. Dallas Cowboy - DE Kony Ealy, Missouri - Dallas really needs help on the DL. They may look to trade up to take Aaron Donald if possible.
    17. Baltimore Ravens - OT Zack Martin, Notre Dame - Ravens to replace Michael Oher and Martin's versatility will be awfully attractive.
    18. New York Jets - WR Odell Beckham Jr, LSU - Rex knows he has a problem on offence and goes for the playmaking threat.
    19. San Francisco 49ers (f/ Miami) - CB Kyle Fuller, Va Tech - SF has the ammo in order to move. They may have liked a WR but Fuller is a nice consolation prize.
    20. Arizona Cardinals - QB Blake Bortles, Central Florida - Some have compared Bortles to Roethlisberger. Bruce Arians doesn't mind that. Gives him time to develop too.
    21. Green Bay Packers - ILB CJ Mosley, Alabama - Packers run to the podium to grab the best ILB in the draft. Perfect fit.
    22. Philadelphia Eagles - WR Brandon Cooks, Oregon St - Chip Kelly looks for another explosive playmaker for his high-temp offence.
    23. Kansas City Chiefs - WR Marqise Lee, USC - Lee is a safe choice here and a position of need. The run on WRs continues.
    24. Cincinnati Bengals - CB Bradley Roby, Ohio St - The Bengals lock down an Ohio St Alum and secure the defensive backfield.
    25. San Diego Chargers - LB Ryan Shazier, Ohio St - Shazier is better value here than Nix and will help anchor their LB corps.
    26. Cleveland Browns - QB Derek Carr, Fresno St - With Thomas & Robinson protecting him, he won't face the problems his brother did.
    27. New Orleans Saints - CB Jason Verrett, TCU - The Saints continue to try and improve their defence.
    28. Carolina Panthers - WR Kelvin Benjamin, FSU - The Panthers are desperate at WR. They get Cam a big bodied Red Zone threat.
    29. New England Patriots - TE Austin Seferian Jenkins, Washington - ASJ is a perfect fit in New England and they will turn him into a star.
    30. Miami Dolphins (f/SF) - OT Cyrus Kouandjio, Alabama - His medical fears have subsided and the 'Phins would love to get this even keel blocker into their OL.
    31. Denver Broncos - DE Demarcus Lawrence, Boise St - The Broncos continue to bolster their defence.
    32. Seattle Seahawks - OT Morgan Moses, Virginia - Seattle could go in many directions here but an upgrade to the OL is never a bad decision.

I go back and forth between the top three corners regularly. Dennard- best man-to-man, best tackler. Not as good in zone or off coverage, PI penalty waiting to happen. Gilbert- best off man, turnover machine, added benefit of great return man. Actively avoids contact. Fuller- best combination of the above. 2nd in everything. Is that what we want?

I trade down only if two or more of them are on the board when we're on the clock. And then only a few places. Maybe to Green Bay, no further.

I keep Dennard out of the equation. I don't think he fits into how we use our DB's. But I do go back and forth between Fuller and Gilbert. I've been more for Gilbert but lately i've been torn.

I like it. It's obvious you put a lot of work into it. I actually agree Mack goes before Clowney. I would make that pick if it was me.

If KC does go WR here I'm not sure it'll be Lee. He has fallen for a few reasons, not all his own. With Mathews, Latimer, Benjamin still there I see it differently.

I also see Carolina's pick different. Keeping Cam healthy is job 1 and with Moses still there and the depth of the WR class I see Moses as their 1st pick.

We also differ on TEs, I think Amaro is better than ASJ and will be the 2nd TE taken.

Its much easier for me to nic-pic a 1st rd mock than to make one. Good job NB.

I am beginning to think Baltimore could potentially be our best friend in this draft. I know this seems silly, but I think they could really help us out. For instance, if someone is willing to move up to 17 in order to get someone, then maybe the Jets or Eagles move up to our spot and we will get slightly more than Baltimore gets with their pick. If the Jets move up to us, we only slide 3 spots, they get the WR they really want, the Eagles move one spot in front of us to where Baltimore is now, and since Dallas isn't looking at CB, we still end up with the same player at 18. THAT would be awesome and in all honestly, I could see it happening.

    @15: CJ Mosely/Fuller

    Trump cards: Evans/Ebron
If Evans falls to them the card instantly goes in and they'll look for CB in the second.

Nice job Steel City NB although we differ
in some area's. I love your passion
for this time of year. Here is hoping the
Steelers have a successful draft and
    we return to the playoffs.
