He's been the same dude every year. The only reason he hasn't matched his rookie year is because we continue to give him the ball less. His YPC average is the EXACT SAME with Pickett and Friends as it was with Old Man Ben. There is 0 difference.

You say You don't talk in circles then proceed to talk in circles. LoL. Read what You wrote...LoL. Knowledge is the key.....How do You force Pickett to be the one to beat You??? This is not hard. LoL

Except then He was running predominantly out of a Shotgun, and pistol.....which You said he couldn't do. Again like Your last reply....You are talking in circles.

He didn't lead the league in rushing yards, but there was a point in time that he led the league in rushing in the games that he started. He didn't finish the year that way, but there was a point in time where that was true. He averaged 80 YPG during the games he started (which would've been good for 4th that season had he played the full season at that rate), but then again Bell averaged nearly 13 yards a game more in the 6 games he was healthy (including a game he was knocked out of early-ish, and he also averaged nearly 5 YPC in that span too)... so idk. Bit of a misleading stat.

Again for the slow a$$ people that either can't read, or just want to argue.....He was leading the league in rushing while He was the starting RB while Bell was out. Geez!!!! College failed You , or what???

You made the circle.... I said Najee wasn't running predominantly out of shotgun, which he didn't do. Which he can't do. They stopped doing it. Canada was the OC for all 3 of Najee's seasons (outside of the last little bit of 2023 after his firing).

You are twisting my words into circles to fit your narrative, not the other way around.

At one point yes. He did lead the league in rushing yards while Bell was out... for a time. This was mentioned during games while it was happening. I have an exceptional memory (and a photographic one).

Bell missed Weeks 1,2,9-17. DeAngelo Williams gained 801 yards rushing in that span. How could he lead the league in rushing while Bell was out when Adrian Peterson gained 892 yards during weeks 1,2,9-17? Doug Martin also had more with 889 during that span... Your "fact" is wrong. It didn't take long to disprove. Maybe you should verify things before saying them.

But hey, I'M the slow one that can't read... lmao

neither will be his qb this year and probably not the same one next year. Should we expect our running back to only function at his best with a franchise qb? Heck most would be better in that situation.

He's not holding out, but don't let that stop you from making things up.

That is misleading. Of course, part of Bell's problem was going from a loaded Pittsburgh offense to a terrible one with the Jets, but was also older and trying to come back after sitting out an entire season.

yes - as is the case with MOST RB's.......they are SPENT after ~5 years, IF they have heavy work loads.

LevBell had concrete in his shoes by his last season here.

Najee is rock steady average and is always available. That means a lot . He should learn some special teams. Some team will give him a nice 2yr deal. He will most likely bounce around the league for many years. I would move on unless he takes a discount and chances are he will end up back with Steelers later on down the line .lol Tomlin gets a reunion etc, etc . We will take anything by then because the QB situation will still be bad. Many 9-8 seasons .But Najee vet leadership will be needed at that time and everyone will be happy. Najee will smile. yay !

Yeah, he sucked that year. All he did was rush for 1,291 yards, catch 85 passes for 655 more, score 11 total touchdowns, and earn first-team All-Pro honors. Just terrible. lol

You were the one that believed that story Najee told the team not to pick up his 5th year option .

    Umm...

With Ben he had 307 carries for 1200 yards = 3.9 YPC
After Ben he had 527 carries for 2069 yards = 3.9 YPC

My math isn't wrong. I said his YPC was the same with Pickett and friends (2022 + 2023) as it was with Old Man Ben (2021). That was a factual statement. Unfortunately this was time #2 in the thread today that I got insulted for being wrong about actual correct statements LMAO I'm on a roll I guess

TBH, fans need to get over some of the "hold out" stuff. Najee isn't holding out, but I am fine with it if he did. It is a business decision either way. This is 99% of the money that these guys will make for the rest of their lives in a lot of cases. Gotta take care of yourself, because the team will have 0 issues cutting you when you're no longer useful to them (no matter how loyal you were). I am ok with players doing this. It is their career and their money. Who am I to judge them? It sucks because I am a fan of the football team that employs these dudes, so I care more about the team than each individual player. If I was a player, I would feel the opposite way of course lol

So you framed the conversation dishonestly instead of messing up the math. Fine. You claimed he hasn't made progress since his rookie year, ignoring that he went from 3.9 yards per carry to 4.1.

YPC fell way off. He was cooked. slow, could not get to the edge any longer.

he was living off his reputation

Yeah,2017 was not his best year...Good year but not as good like he was in 2016....4.0 YPC in 2017 vs 4.9 in 2016....He had still a great month in december in 2017 but overall Bell was much better in 2016
