Myles Jack

I am totally fine having a decent QB. And building around him (to give him time). And then beasting up the defense. Because I think that will win more in the post season than having a meh defense, meh line with an amazing QB.

Thoughts?

 

OMG! I am on vacation with my family. I just came up from the beach and saw this scroll across the screen. Then I screamed over the balcony.

Yeah. You could say I'm excited.

 

Yeah, all message boards are like that. "We kept him, that' good, they're pretty good. The other team got them, fine, he was a shell of himself". Not everyone, but every board has those opinions. Its a way to protect themselves from the disappointment...convincing themselves it was for the best. LOL

 

Starting to think we can have a serious playoff contender even with a below-average starting QB. The pressure is on Matt Canada now as most of the glaring weaknesses on both sides of the ball have been remedied to at least average production I think. If the old men on the DL can stay healthy, the defense is suddenly looking stout and the rushing defense will improve to above average.

 

I read that Flores will be coaching OLBs, and Jerry O is returning to coach ILBs.

 

The secondary is the biggest concern, they need two more quality CBs, also a strong safety.

 

Schobert I give a pass to having no offseason and coming in fresh and having to roll right at the and of Preseason.

Bush though, I wonder if most of the issues weren't because other guys were trying to make up for him failing.

Personally Id like to see Schobert and Jack in the middle.

 

Yeah, they don't seem to be adding speed to the secondary at all.

 

Yep, DB’s apart from Minkah are not good. They really could use a young stud CB and a good SS

No idea what their draft plans are and I doubt they’ll be making a splash signing in the secondary but it is without a doubt the teams soft spot right now

My capologists...With the cuts of Banner and Schobert, and the signing of Jack...Where do we sit now money wise

 

I agree with your second statement, but not your first. Jack really didn't play as well last season as he had in previous seasons. He had plenty of tackles, but not many big plays. He also missed three games last year and five the season before that, so there is at least some reason for concern. Then again, that all helped keep the price down. He is a physical, athletic linebacker who can help the run defense. Even if he is just solid, that is really what they need inside after last year's disgraceful run defense.

Myles Jack is 6'1" and weighs 255 with his speed and size he can really lay the wood.
