It's time to take a look at the rb position. This is a unit that has also become a major strength on the offense. These guys are not letting the wr's take the spotlight from them, and are letting the league know that they will not be ignored.

Le'veon bell: In the eyes of many (myself included), a healthy bell is the best rb in the league. After serving his suspension, he dominated as if he had never been gone... Then came the bengals again, and his season was over.... Now, after some hard rehab, bell is back and ready to take on all comers again.... I believe the best is yet to come, especially since this is a contract yr.

Deangelo Williams: While bell was out, Williams did one incredible job of making sure he wasn't missed much... Williams showed the league that he still had more than enough tread on the tires... Williams tied for the league lead in rushing td's and turned back the clock with a vengeance... The F.O. came through big time with his signing... Williams knows his place in the rb pecking order and just does whatever the team needs without complaining... a great locker rm. presence, and a reminder to opposing defenses that you can never rest against our offense.

Fitzgerald Toussaint: Thrust into action due to injury to Williams, and showed that the bright lights were not too bright for him.. With a running style that is very similar to bell and Williams, he showed that with some development he can really make some noise.... obviously, the playoff game against the broncos showed that he needs to work on his ball security, but I believe that he will come back stronger for the experience.... This is a kid on the rise, and I for one am glad he's around.

Brandon Brown-Dukes: Short, but stocky runner, with break away potential... Small school background may work against him, as he's not really accustomed to seeing big time competition... I don't see him doing much at the nfl level, as we don't seem to have much luck with small school wonders at this position.. If he shows anything, then he may be a candidate for the ps.

Cam Stingily: One of the guys I had my eye on last yr., and definitely one that i'll continue to watch... Very powerful runner that brings to mind our old mentality on offense.... I see him this yr. as being a victim of the numbers game, but if he shows that he can lead block, he may stick as a fb convert... Otherwise it's back to the ps for another yr.

Daryl Richardson: Electric runner with good vision... his size is a concern though, and I don't see him as much more than a 3rd down back at the nfl level... Unfortunately for him, a 3rd down back is not needed with the talent we have ahead of him, and if he's to see an nfl field in the regular season, it will have to be with another team.

Brandon Johnson: Signed as an afterthought to fill out the roster, and will be an early cut

Roosevelt Nix: Highly athletic and strong fb whos development made a highly talented and popular will Johnson expendable... last season was cut short by an acl injury, but i'm sure that if the coaches and f.o. were not satisfied with his rehab, then Johnson would still be here.. very strong and aggressive and could soon be a terror on lead blocks... I see a player that will soon become a fan favorite.. Unlike Johnson, I don't see nix as much of a receiving threat, but with all the weapons we have already, his hands are not needed, as evidenced by the lack of looks that Johnson got despite his considerable skills.

    next up: qb's and kickers

Any RB list without Steven Jackson is a joke.

I also agree that Bell is the best RB in the Nfl,he has a great BU in DW as well. No reason this Team should not lead the NFL in total Offense we have mad weapons at all the skill positions...Coach Haley needs to find a way to use all the different skill sets our skill players have .

I hope to see this Offense multiple and to make Defenses guess on what and who to stop. One week let Bell be a focal point then the next week let it be AB then the next the TE position and so on. I think we have that much skill and can play any style we want to ...

Tossiant seems like a diamond in the rough. Look for him to have a solid preseason showing.

I am not sold on Tossiant, I liked the other RB better that we got rid of. Lets hope Bell
is done with his injuries and can be healthy long term. D Williams is a proven RB and I like his style of running.
Just wish he would stay off of social media. Nix is one tough hombre.

i think FT is as hard nose as they come. the fumble was costly but i believe it could have a silver lining for the kid as he grows with this team. he was tough at mich. and thats coming from a buckeye. :smiley1::cool:

Agreed. Fitz is a keeper and will be the number 2 when DWill is done.

I expect Bell to not see a whole lot of action during training camp and pre-season games. It wouldn't surprise me if DWill didn't see a whole lot either. This gives the team to take a good long look at these other guys. I will say, they were better prepared last year than two years ago. Bell has to finish the season, albeit in February.
