My thoughts on the draft rd 1....

Moore has said he can't play RT. HE needs to be GONE. Traded, cut, whatever. Find an actual swing tackle AND find one better than Moore (since he was rated in bottom 5 LTs, shouldn't be much of an issue). I doubt anyone would trade anything more than a 2025 7th for him, but i'd still take that without hesitation.

 

C- I believe may leave the door open for Aiyuk to Steelers?

 

There's that.
Cousins has made a lot of money on this NFL, he's one of the top earners. (People often refer to him as Greedy, but I knew Cousins personally in Washington, they couldn't even get his name right. He did the right thing)
He could have found a better situation with just a small percentage difference, easy. Maybe even made more.
I am positive he pulled the trigger a little too soon. There's a couple teams that would have come off the money.
But, it is all water under the bridge. As they say, what's done is done.
Some say Penix will be a career backup.
Others think it might be an Aaron Rogers thing, he rides the pine for 2/3 years.

 

How as that perfect situation for Mims? Bengals O line is a disaster just like ours. I personally still wanted Mims, but guess ill be happy for Fautanu!

 

Although I thought Atl reached for this pick at 8, perfect scenario for Penix to sit and learn.

 

Ok a better situation than coming to Pittsburgh. He won’t have to start right away in Cincinnati they have tow veteran OT’s in front of him. Yes I know we have Moore but that isn’t saying much.

 

I think the ship has sailed on Aiyuk. Two WR’s just signed new contracts which will push his asking price up to a ridiculous figure. They are better off trying to trade for Deebo Samuel.

 

Wouldn’t mind trading Demarvin Leal as well.

 

The Falcons totally miss the point of the draft..... they're locked in to Cousins for 2 yrs with 100 mil guaranteed... then draft a 24 yr old qb that, barring injury, won't see the field before he's 26

 

Penix wasnt even a first rounder, let alone #8 overall. SMH

 

yep - seems a big miss to me as well.

 

i hope your right about number 7 BAGP. Glad we got a tackle, we need to improve the line, but Center is a vital part of that line and i hope we get one of those guys with the next pick. I know we have other holes on the team to fill but O line should be the number one priority.
