He spells Herbig when he needs it and collects his dough. But if he's healthy Coach T like Coach Cowher always show unwavering loyalty to the veteran. I get it to a point but you have to play the guy that gives you the best chance to win every week, period.

He did good overall against both Khalil Mack and Joey Bosa. Broderick has gotta keep it up though! Great bounce back though all the same.

Steelers can’t afford for Broderick to be a bust. They have Fautanu who is gonna be a star and Zach Frasier who is becoming one. Three studs upfront sets the table for good run games and good QB play.

I don't believe Broderick will be. He has all the tools anyone could ever want as an Offensive Tackle. Hopefully next season, Broderick is placed back at his natural home at Left Tackle so he can be that Franchise Left Tackle I believe he can be.

I wish they could get all three on the field together like they did when Highsmith was a rookie mixing in with Watt and Dupree, but that team was weak at inside linebacker and this time most definitely is not.

AQL, you are right on about his improved tackling. I’ve noticed it several times in the first three games. Sunday the chargers tried a screen and a Steeler knifed through two blockers and crushed the play with a great open field tackle.

I was like, “who was that?!?”

Sure enough, it was #24. I had to rewind to make sure it was actually him. It was a Carnell Lake-type play.

Looking at the All 22, Joey has fully bought into the violence this defense thrives in. Much more aggressive yet much more controlled this time around. If there is one area for him to improve, it would be Zone Coverage.

Granted, he is best used as a Press Corner but there will be times Zone Coverage will be needed.

same here. there was one camera shot where it looked like he was declaring eligable. So I thought maybe another big body for run support?

I think he did both, lining up as an extra lineman on some plays and replacing Anderson at guard on others.

I know Bosa came into the game with an injury, but early on after getting pancaked by Broderick Jones he tapped out .

I read somewhere that McCormick could start the next game or play more snaps.

Turning out to be a great draft for us.

it is early - played 3 SAD SACK offenses. Herbert was starting to pick us apart - right over the middle of the field.

Happy with this D, but tempered.

ATL / Kirk was first game, getting feet wet.
    DONCOS suck
    and then Herbert injury.
and we get another sad sack offense this week, to pad the stats.

Hebert had some struggle at the end before his injury....started 12-13,0-5 in his final 5 pass
