Williamson said on his podcast that Warren is getting an MRI on his knee. I am glad the Steelers have Patterson.

Especially this. It's been a long time since this was done well, and my wife and I were talking about how helpful and effective this was yesterday.

I was not real interested until the last 3 minutes of the show and then the twist

Now I want to watch it but I’m an old fart

    1. Steelers shut down JK Dobbins, he was on a tear coming to this game, and was a non-factor

2.This was a very good complimentary football game by the Steelers. When the defense broke down and allowed a TD drive, the offense came back the next drive and answered the TD with one of their own. When the ball got hit in the air and ping ponged around and it was a INT and it ruined good Field Pos. for the Steelers, the defense stuffed them out and they went no where. So just a good complimentary football game.

3.Calvin Austin went Stone Cold Steve Austin and had a huge day. It was needed by someone not named George Pickens

    4. Too bad about J. Warren, I feel he may miss some time, he just doesn't seem himself, he might be in for a short term IR stint. Along with the Troy F. news that he may be out the year.

    5. Really good bounce back game for Broderick Jones. Also cool to see Mason M. getting some snaps

    6. Scottie Miller, he's not sexy name but he can play some football has filled in nicely when called upon.

7.Nick Herbig, he might actually be better than Alex Highsmith at this point. He's like TJ Watt Jr. I mean TJ is still the Whopper, but Nick is the Whopper Jr.
    8. Defense allowing -5 total yards in the 2nd half is amazing. I know Herbert left hurt, but still pretty amazing.

    9. Stack these wins now as much as possible its gonna be a lot harder later.

    10. Like the team feeling of this team, they seem to play like a team, think this is a good locker room, and maybe as good of one that they have had in long time. You feel good cheering for this group. I just hope they can keep that, its hard to do in today's NFL of everything being Stat driven.

I think Herbig is a better pass rusher than Highsmith right now. I'm not sure if he is as good against the run. Let's see him show he can be disciplined, take on blocks, and set the edge.

Devante Adams looks good in black and gold, that would be awesome if it could become a reality

There is much being made about Porter giving up the TD. I swear on the replay it looks like he makes the choice to cover the second receiver and was handing off to Fitzpatrick whose late getting over. Was it blown coverage?

I only wish there were more down the field throws.

It looked like a poor defensive design that was executed poorly. Maybe Porter was supposed to hand off to Fitzpatrick there, but that's a hell of a tough ask.

I don't really know if it was poorly designed, but it looks like Porter expected Minkah to cover the receiver after he broke off from him, but Minkah stayed back instead. Just left too much of a cushion for the receiver. That was about the only glaring breakdown on defense I saw from them all day

    agreed.

    man, is that kid FAST.

But he is smaller - not sure how he would fare against the run.

Between me and you, Mason McCormick should now see more time with the 1s for practice for the week should Issac Seumalo not be able to suit up against Indianapolis. Looking back at the All 22, having McCormick in there did far more good for the left side of the line than Spencer Anderson did. Then again, Spencer Anderson is best served as a Right Guard and not a Left One. Mason McCormick is tailored built to play Left Guard.

Don't hate the look of that, but fairly certain DA was one of the players Pierce was referencing.

I'd chalk that up to a miscommunication honestly. No way Porter Jr is gonna just let anyone zip right past him. However, here is something more interesting. After that catch, Quentin Johnson only had 1 catch on Joey Porter for 17 yards the remainder of the game.

What is not being talked about nearly as much though is the improvement of tackling by Joey Porter Jr from Year One to Year Two. He is much more controlled when taking angels and much more precise when choosing where to tackle on those angles.

There had to be some communication problems because it wasn't a case of Porter or Fitzpatrick guessing and be wrong it looked like they both assumed that the other knew where to be.

I can't say enough good things about Porter, his play has really taken the Steelers defense to another level. You're right, he's a much more sure tackler compared to last year. I know people have said he's too handsy, but he's even improved in that area. I think he's figured out that his coverage is good enough as it is without having to grab the guy. Anyway, I'll gladly take an occasional PI call on him, for all of the other good plays that he makes on a consistent basis

This could be the best outcome since Jack Lambert took over for an injured Henry Davis his rookie year and never looked back!

I don't doubt it, but a guy like that isn't going to become available without some nonsense. He is good enough to put up with it for this season.

I didn't expect our run game to get healthy against the Chargers D. Still, we stayed with it and wore them. Would have been easy to abandon it. Well coached game and the team showed toughness for 60 minutes.

I just complemented the Steeler coaching? That's weird.

Can we give the pick we got for AB back to Vegas for Adams? Just make sure to check Adams concussion history before the trade.
