A strip sack and a batted ball leading to an interception you have to give credit to the defense.

Not to mention they almost did it 2 weeks ago on the road on a Thursday night.

I think Metcalf drops are nothing new he did the same thing in Seattle.

I thought the Colts offensive game plan was awful yesterday. They tried to get too cute and Jones lost them the game. Why they didn’t run the ball out of the gate and often was mind blowing. I would be killing MT and AS for that.

Gotta give MT credit yesterday moving Ramsey to Safety was absolutely the correct move. He should be there the rest of the season IMO

Agreed. Wilson also made a play jumping the route on his interception. Even on the last interception, it was a poor throw, but Porter still made an aggressive play to jump in front of the receiver to grab it.

Some fans refuse to give the team any credit for creating turnovers they think it's all luck.

Highsmith looked like the second coming of LC Greenwood against the Colts. They let the defense improvise a bit with their unique brand of freestyle on the manned coverage. Ramsey at S is already better than half the starting S in the NFL. He and Duggar helped shut down the run game which allowed the pass rush to work.

Agree. If anything, simpler is better. And playing simpler allowed them to play faster and create such turnovers. I'm not completely ready to give Tomlin/Austin credit for such moves because injuries and illnesses forced their hand. Now, if the continue playing simpler and this trend continues, I'll certainly give them credit. As @Formerscribe@Formerscribe noted, Ramsey needs to be FS the rest of the way and Echols/Pierre needs to continue to take reps from Slay. I'm not opposed to Thornhill getting #3 S snaps nonetheless.

I'd do this the rest of the way CB1 JPJ, CB2 Echols/Pierre, FS Ramsey Box, Dugger/Elliot (if he returns), #3S Thornhill. No need to mix-match those roles 40x a game. Simpler is better.

They have a foundation, and hopefully they continue this way.

Yeah, I agree. There are definitely "fluke" turnovers (Hail Mary, ball carrier fumbles, the punt bouncing weird and hitting the punt returner). But we only had the one.... The rest were great plays by our defenders. Either forced INT's with pressure, or strip sacks. Credit where its' due.

I agree with hard to know what to take away. I wish people could understand that that is also true in the case of some losses

Most NFL games include turnovers. We just need to get more than we give.

Troy Fautanu did well and has been on the upswing after week 3. He is getting better indeed. As for Broderick?! He clearly didn't have his best game of the season.

Still, I expect him to bounce back.

i dont know if Wilson needs to ride the bench. He was just trying to get extra yards - rookie mistake. Hes talented, they should keep playing him. Hopefully he learns to protect the ball better.

I think we had 2 strip sacks. Didn't Watt cause one and later Highsmith caused one? JPjr got an Int, Sawyer and Wilson got Ints. 1 muffed punt.
Is this correct or am I confusing something?

Because, Ints were caused by the defense. Strip sacks are caused by the defense.
The punt took a weird bounce into the returner, but the rest our defense caused those.

If this defense only does this great heroic FEAT every 3-4 games, we are toast. They must keep it up every week. The def. was great.

No use arguing with people like this.
The only gift we got was the muffed punt, and we didn't get anything out of that.

Funny they didn't do it after Burrows got hurt, until Flacco got there

I don’t think it’s so much not giving the players and coaches credit for turnovers it’s more counting on that as your main strategy instead of playing good sound defense is what’s flawed. You will not always catch breaks in the turnover game and when you don’t you can’t just get steamrolled. I’m sure every defense in the NFL tries to get turnovers on every play but that’s not realistic. I will say obviously some teams are better than others (Steelers have been good at this for years)

Why weren’t we able to run that back btw? Was in a bar and couldn’t hear the ruling.

Notice how obsessed He , and a few are about Tomlin???
There can be 4 different threads talking about different aspects of the game, coverages, running game, kicking game, and so forth, and nobody has even brought up Tomlins name, and yet they have to insert it into every thread. I don't know what to call that but an obvious obsession. They say we love Him, Yet we haven't even brought up his name, and they have to. LoL. Obsession at its finest.
