Agreed. I thought the no-call was correct when I saw it earlier, but that view sure looks like interference. Ward never turned to look for the ball, and he brought his arms down on the receiver's arms before the ball arrived.

Que up the conservative Bags Tomlin way. Playing not to lose instead of going for the jugular. Have seen it so many times it was no surprise. I don't blame Smith he got his marching orders.

One of the most puzzling thing of the Steeler offense all year long is why didn't we target Freirmuth more. He has the best hands on the team. MVS has not shown anything today, if anything he was targeted too many times.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Bags said to pull Muth off the milk carton and gave the blessing to use the middle of the field. Then went away from the hot hand. Typical.

I would much rather see them take a shot at Willis. I'm not convinced that he is anything without LaFleur coaching him, but I am certain that Fields sucks.

Yup. Go to him on third down, and they have the tying touchdown. Then they go to overtime with their defense playing really well and only needing a tie.

Willis is a nice piece to have but I wouldn't want him as a starter. And hell no to Fields.

We'll get our usual 20th pick, by then all the best players will already be gone. We're stuck in this mediocre hell as long as Tomlin is here.

I may have missed someone mentioning this, but if the Steelers had just taken the points and kicked the FG before halftime, they'd be down by 1. Boz makes his kick in the second half, we're still down by 1, and then we just need a FG to win the game instead of hero ball and relying on MVS.

Passing on the field goal in the first half was a huge mistake. It was clear that points were going to be at a premium. Take the damn field goal.

Tomlin should take a lot of heat for today and for this team missing the playoffs, but people will excuse it by blaming Metcalf and the rash of injuries that hit the Steelers late in the season. Of course, if they still had Pickens, losing Metcalf wouldn't have been so devastating, and I have no doubt Tomlin wanted Pickens gone.

I was fortunate or unfortunate which ever is chosen to only have one game not on my local TV or Prime this season. Lucky me.

I gave up purchasing Sunday Ticket a some years ago. If there wasn't a game on TV I would go to my local watering hole. Until I see a change happen I will remain the same. If I see the Steelers on TV fine, if not no biggie.

That's why you take the points unless you have no choice.

Yep, that 9th win bought him another extension.

The Steelers' determination to get rid of Pickens cost them their season. Today clinched that.

Maybe they wouldn't have traded for Metcalf if they weren't going to get rid of Pickens. Fine. Then they still have Pickens, the guy who didn't get himself suspended for being selfish and stupid.

If they keep both, they probably clinch the division before this week. If not, they definitely win today because with even one competent receiver, the offense is enough to beat the Browns.

We are going to watch the Steelers lose consecutive games to piss away a playoff berth because they don't have enough weapons. They traded away arguably their best weapon for a third-round pick (and an exchange of later picks) because Tomlin couldn't handle him.

I'm sure some folks will argue because they can't admit they were wrong, but this was proven to be true the moment Metcalf lost his head and went after the fan last week.

Correct and Boz’s miss is because we are dicking around with an injured LS. That miss loomed large today, as well as not attempting the other. In a 7 point loss, there is 6 points.

Only one thing needs said and it’s the same as every season. We will never win another SB maybe even playoff game with MT as the HC. Until he is gone it will just be more of what we saw today.

On top of that it looked like they'd never played together before. Rodgers would throw it in one direction, MVS would break in the other.

#5. Rodgers was hell bent on denying Garrett the record at the expense of the game. Maybe TJ paid him.....lol

Final drive, what was the difference? We used the middle of the field and threw the ball past the LOS!

How was that 4th and goal pass not a PI? Defender had his back to the QB, had his arms on both of the receivers arms pushing down, restricting movement before the ball was there. There was no play on the ball by the defender. The ball was catchable.

    • Definition: Illegally hindering an eligible receiver's opportunity to catch a forward pass after it crosses the line of scrimmage.
    • Examples: Grabbing an arm, pushing off, hooking, or cutting off a receiver's path.
    • Penalty:
A "spot foul," meaning the ball is placed at the spot of the foul, resulting in an automatic first down for the offense
      .
    • Exception: Contact is not PI if the pass is clearly uncatchable or if both players are competing for the ball and contact is incidental (like tangling feet).
That was like an arm bar attempt. Nice captures Robert!

Amazaed Rodgers couldn't see that, he was just intent on being proven right and getting MVS a big game, and a hero moment, that was hubris from Rodgers.

Yup. They were way too conservative in this game. They refused to attack the middle of the field except at the end of each half. They gave away two possessions with those runs by Gainwell on third down. They refused to attack Sanders early, which led to the Browns building a 10-0 lead.

    That was all Tomlin.
