Fautanu had been decent this season, but Mack kicked his ass last night.

Finally finished the game. My goodness... a lot to unpack here. Here are my own thoughts on the matter:

1.) Aaron Rodgers, within the past three games, has looked every bit of his age. He is regressing for certain. That said, should this continue, I seriously doubt that he is coming back in 2026.

2.) Chargers did tote the rock 32 times for 115 yards but only had a 3.7 average. To that, Yahya Black, Keeanu Benton and Derrick Harmon had a pretty good outing last night as far as Run Defense is concerned.

3.) Damn a WR 2. This team is in desperate need of another Corner come 2026. Be that in Round One or later, this team needs a serious youth movement. Not just Corner either... safety too.

4.) Spencer Anderson isnt it. Suffice it to say, he has been given every oppurtunity and has yet to impress. Id wager that an early investment in the IOL is in order as wrll.

5.) Early on in the game, Pittsburgh ran the ball well. Problem was, the lack of conversions caused the team to go away from it. My own issue?! Pittsburgh abandoned the run too early for my tastes. Granted, the entire Offensive Line did little sans Zach Frazier.

6.) On the subject of the Offensive Line, I get that this unit is very young. However, since Week 7, these past three weeks have been up and down too much and too often; doubly so in possession downs. Last Sunday Night is when the proverbial dam erupted.

7.) I get CA III is essentially the other WR. At this poin though?! Go for broke and test out Roman Wilson. See what you have in your second year player more. A garbage time TD isnt much to celebrate about but it is a confidence booster for a player who desperately needed it.

our whole line is terrible in their pass sets. they were pushed back like they were on skate's the whole game. no QB can work with that pressure in their face. they pushed them back just enough and waited until he stepped up. they controlled our linemen all night. i see too much reaching and trying to get a chip on a defender instead of driving them in the run. these chips don't work. the playing strength of our linemen is atrocious.

No QB's worth a first rounder you say? Isn't that how we got our last one? To be fair that was a different GM. Omar hasn't made that mistake...yet.

Steelers need to go either CB, WR or DT in round one. Best available player.

The steelers had a great Hof QB in the 2010s and they did nothing after 2010....At least when the Bills lost in the playoffs, this is against the best team in the last 5 years(4 times vs chiefs since 2020)...The steelers face Brady and the pats only once in the Tomlin era in the playoffs because they were losing against some random team like the Jaguars in the 2010s

At this point, sounds like CB is the odds on favorite. Keldrick Faulk from Auburn is all over the map but I don't expect him to declare anyhow. Wild card is still Peter Woods from Clemson.

Given how the team annually visits Clemson, it will be interesting to see how heavy a contingent the team would bring. I understand that trading up for a IDL is very rare but Peter Woods is that special a player imo. He is the real deal.

Don't let his drop in production deceive you. Without him? Clemson has a worse defense; much worse depending on the opponent.

Unless LaNorris declares, there isnt going to be a QB within reach for the Steelers. Mendoza and presumably Ty Simpson from Alabama will be long gone by then. Hell, should LaNorris declare, so will he for there is simply too much talent and physical gifts to work with.

At this point?! Stay at whatever spot for BPA or trade up for a psuedo generational talent in Peter Woods.... assuming he is even within striking distance.

Maybe if Ben played better in the playoffs, they would've won more games .

Like the game when he had 470 passing yards,5 TD pass and 2 turnovers?

Ben's stats with Tomlin 26 TDs and 20 interceptions in the playoffs not great franchise QB numbers. Those numbers came after they fell behind 21-7 and his two turnovers .

A CB is a need, but won't help this team get a single win, given that the Head Coach, who was a secondary coach, has historically struggled to develop and field an effective backfield.

    BPA I guess.

It would take multiple firsts and additional assets to get a top QB next year. Very expensive. On the other hand, they can't keep doing the QB rental dance and kicking the can unless the next two seasons are going to be tanking without saying you're tanking.

Maybe they go all in after Tomlin's contract runs out on a new head coach and QB.

They need to do something because this offense makes games unwatchable and will free up many fans' time on Sundays in the future.

I agree Ben was better under Cowher since Cowher was a better coach(look at the playcalling by his oc in the 2005 playoffs,it was amazing, like great screen pass at the right time, etc). The team were not ready to play against the Jaguars...The defense gave up a easy opening drive TD to the jaguars because the focus of Tomlin was on New England. They had too much arrogance

Sellers is a project and not likely to start as a rookie, hard pass he could be Anthony Richardson 2.0

And in 2001 the Steelers focus was on the Super Bowl and not the Patriots in the AFCCG, that's why some Patriots players were clowning the Steelers after the game .

Spy gate didn't have anything to do with giving up two TDs on special teams, try again .

what about the 3 interceptions by Kordell?

And yes the special teams were awful and it was awful all season long....Cowher was still able to overcome that and have a 13-3 season and a afc title game!

The steelers would beat the Pats with 2020 Roethlisberger in 2001 under coach Cowher

At this point I’d rather watch an 80 year old Bo Derek.
