This wasn't so much a "I told you so" loss for my agenda. The defense played good enough to win, and for the most part they had solid communication. Simplifying the defense reinvigorated that side of the ball these past few weeks. We can only hope the D continues to progress, and this past game was an anomaly and not the norm moving forward.

Undoubtedly, that was an awful game for Rodgers. There’s really no way around it — he looked uncomfortable from the start. The timing was off, the pocket presence was shaky, and he just didn’t seem confident letting it rip.

There were open throws left on the field and moments where he seemed hesitant, almost like he was expecting pressure even when it wasn’t there.

Still, the offensive game plan didn’t do him many favors. Too many slow-developing routes early on, not enough quick-hitting rhythm plays to get him settled, and the lack of true separation from the receivers keeps showing up week after week. You can tell he doesn’t fully trust the weapons around him — and that hesitation kills drives before they start. Hopefully it was a one off game for him.

The one positive in the offense was once again Jaylen Warren. It’s becoming more and more obvious that he should be featured earlier in games instead of waiting until the offense is already sputtering.

Defensively, I actually thought there were some encouraging signs. They didn’t get gashed on the ground like in previous weeks, and the front seven looked more disciplined overall. Watt and Highsmith generated some consistent pressure, and the interior line held up decently. The big issue, though, continues to be third downs — way too many conversions that let Herbert extend drives and kill momentum.

So yeah, ugly game all around, especially for Rodgers. But I’m not ready to hit panic mode yet. The defense seems to be trending in the right direction, and if the offense can simplify things, get Rodgers back in rhythm, and lean more on Warren early, this team can still steady itself. Just a frustrating watch because the opportunities were there — they just didn’t capitalize.

This loss hurts as well mainly because of what it means for the playoff picture. Losing to the Chargers stings double since it could end up being a tiebreaker for a Wild Card spot if we don’t win the division. But honestly, this season across the league feels wide open. There’s no truly elite team, and even the “good” ones are scraping by with close games and ugly wins. If the Steelers can just find a rhythm offensively and hope that the defense continues to trend upwards and clean up the third-down defense, there’s absolutely still a path to at least take one playoff game.

I’ve been saying the same things about Tomlin for years no idea what you’re blabbering about. Keep sharing your football expertise though it’s very enlightening.

The lack of halftime adjustments is also deeply concerning. This team plays the same after half as prior. Mike Tomlin is just completely lost, the way he is just starring into the void.

Also, the O line made a huge step in the wrong direction. Completely overwhelmed, did not help with Rodgers already bad night

I'm not the one claiming the Bills, Ravens, and the Chiefs are going to be the top 3 seeds in the AFC, meanwhile the Patriots, Colts, and Broncos all are 8-2 .

Rodgers probably ran into some sacks last night looking like Kenny Pickett in the pocket .

I didn’t say the top 3 seeds I said they will be the 3 best teams come playoffs. Bills look off though that was a poor game yesterday. They don’t have many weapons similar to us.

Yes Rodgers was bad. But he is not the only one to blame. You have to see the bigger picture. He also got little help from his supporting cast. O line regressed, playcalling was bad and the entire gameplan was, to be honest, I am not even sure what the plan was supposed to be. Chargers play their third string line and are haunted by injuries, still looking solid. Defense was okayish but still not as good as they should be. They only really look excellent when they turn it over multiple times. Overall it is just a dysfunctional team that is bad at executing and poorly coached. If you still don’t see that, I don’t even know what to tell you

Metcalf is not slow. You aren't wrong about the overall lack of speed, but you are wrong about that part of it.

was that really such a bold thing to say before the season? Btw, we are still only in week 10. Let’s talk again in two months which teams are the best in the Afc

McCormick's main problem is very poor/inconsistent technique. His footwork is all over the place. His hand placement is often terrible.

You can only do so much with a game plan when the line is mediocre at best and you only have one wide receiver who is worth a damn. Fautanu got his ass kicked last night. They missed Seumalo, too. Everyone knows there is only one receiver you have to worry about and the Chargers took great advantage of that.

Still those three teams might have to do it the hard way being a wild card team and going on the road in the playoffs, the Ravens might be a division winner though.

I was thinking the same. Haven't we seen this movie before with Rust Wilson. Starts hot and fades. For my money next season we need to go with a young QB and not these geriatric 1-year rentals.

Okay then but still, a lot of ball to be played left and top 3 teams are not necessarily ≠ top 3 seeds. On paper the ravens are still the most complete team in the afc, I don’t trust the broncos and patriots yet. We all know what the chiefs and josh allen can do come january. The point is, I am not sure why you would laugh at someone for saying those three are potentially the top 3 in the conference. Again, as if that was such an irational thing to say

Because I think people are hyping those teams up for what they did in the past, the only difference between the Bills and the Steelers is they have a franchise QB.
