This is probably an overreaction, but I cannot believe how much better this team looks. I see a legitimate sense of direction and structure. A real offensive line, a jump from Pickett and Pickens and the defensive coming back healthy is huge.

Is the game vs. Buffalo only on NFL+ again? I won't pay for NFL+ so I guess it's radio for me as well as tape it and watch it Saturday.

It's only $7/month which is pretty cheap just to watch the 3 preseason games then dump it.

Fair and what do you expect from the 4th QB right? I just did not like his first outing and to improve dramatically from that is a stretch. Don't see it happening but hey who knows.

I was just as disappointed as you with Trubisky's performance last year. I thought he was gonna play better than he did. Rudolph hasn't exactly inspired confidence. Remember the Lions game at Heinz Field when Ben was out with Covid? I jumped off the Rudolph bandwagon after that game.

This 100%. There wasn’t an unnecessary scramble at all. The second one was a designed boot away from play action.

Chuks was abused twice by Diaby. Embarrassingly abused.

Only one was a boot. So of course I wasn't talking about that one. LoL Why would I complain about a called play???

Mitch is one of the best backup in the league and the best backup the steelers have since a long time

That only leaves 2 times where he scrambled. One resulting in a first down, the other one he had Diaby in his face. He had no way to step up in the pocket on that one.

You mean the game that they had Mason throw 50 times in the rain, and He completed 30 of the passes, and only tied because of a wrs fumbling the ball??? Ever wonder Why they never had Trubisky throw 50 times a game...yet asked Mason to???

Steelers had to pass because the O-line was terrible that year at run blocking. IMHO, with a good running game, Trubisky and Rudoph both can manage games well enough to beat average and bad teams..... IF Watt, Heyward and Fitzpatrick are healthy.

Just because You complete a pass ....doesn't mean You couldn't step up....does it???....., or I'm I missing something??? This is the Ravens game all over from last year You disagreed with. Yes He made the pass for a td, but he scrambled on that play also....almost got sack....when he could have simply stepped up.
This is not a argument....this is a observation. Again.....what do the defenses see when they study film, and see this, and where are the rules enforced to protect the Qb??? I personally would like to see Him play the whole season, and I don't like the D to know that no matter where the pressure comes from He will try to escape the pocket. That is all. Sorry I worry.

I'd just assume tape it as have my Credit Card info in yet another place. What is the best Steeler radio station that's online? I might do that and then watch it the next day.

He wasn't benched until He got hurt. Also Trubisky has been benched by the Bears, and now by the Steelers.....so Your point means nothing.

Is this in that crazy green font you online people use for typing something sarcastically?

I am colorblind, so I can't tell if it is black or green.

Everyone? How does a QB get a rating of 0.0 in a preseason game playing against 2nd and 3rd stringers?

Imagine thinking it's a good idea to judge a QB on only 4 passes attempted.Massive overreaction

I watched that play against the Ravens so many times that I would disagree any day of the week and twice on Sunday.
I just don't see the point in nitpicking a play that had a positive result. You claim that the defense can pick up these tendencies on film but in the Tampa game, Pickett rolled to both sides of the field, throwing against his body on one for a first down. He did the same thing last year. If he starts leaving the pocket to one side all the time, that's a problem. I'm not arguing he didn't leave the pocket too early at times last year. That's something he's probably working on. I will push back on some of those you point out because that's your opinion and we all know how you feel about running QBs. You would rather the QB never bail the pocket and step up when he can. That's reasonable but unrealistic to think it can happen on every play that breaks down. You have the benefit of replay from your couch. Pickett is making these decisions in a split second. It's not always going to be perfect.

Is Mayfield better than Trubisky if Trask wins the job? Is Brissett better than Trubisky if Howell wins the job? Is Dalton better than Trubisky? What about Huntley - he made a pro bowl as a backup?
