Frist, let me start out saying that I will never, ever wish that the Steelers lose.

That being said, if we end up with the 5th and Cinncy the 6th. Both teams would most likely win the wildcard game. Then the Steelers get to go to the Ravens and get some revenge while the Pats beat the Bengals.

Then Steelers finally get even with the Pats in the AFC championship game in New England (I live here now so I can go to it)

On to the Superbowl where we get #7 and our #7 gets MVP against Green Bay....some more revenge. :good:

That would be nice. NE in the championship game will be a different kettle of fish than earlier this season, though.

I think the Saints beat the Packers.

The Saints looked great Monday night.....I love how they use Sproles out of the backfield, setting up PA, then when 2nd or 3rd in long they handed off to him and he picks up 15 yards. Unlike the Steelers when it is 3rd and 3.....we have an empty backfield....just asking the other team to send the blitz.

Actually i hope the Saints will be the NFC Super Bowl team, i really like Brees and Payton and what they did for New Orleans.
Plus it's just fun to watch the Saints Offense destroy opposing Ds ... And their style on Defense is something i really REALLY enjoy watching ... Beating the crap out of Favre and Warner and then beating Manning in the SuperBowl :dancing:

To be honest, I don't see the AFC winning the SuperBowl this season (unless for some crazy reason neither NO nor GB makes it there).
Of the three probable AFC teams, I can't see any beating them. NE would lose in a shoot-out (their defense can't stop anyone), Flacco would just choke and throw more INTs than Brees TDs (which is bloody hard to begin with) and the Steelers would probably lose because BA would start having stupid ideas of trying to win the game with a 90:10 pass/run ratio

If the Bengals get in then we will prob be the #2 seed, so I go with the following:

    1-NE
    2-Steelers
    3-HOU
    4-Den/OAK (who cares which one)
    5-ravens
    6-Bengals

Ravens win @ OAK or Denver
    HOU wins over the Bengals

    Ravens win @ NE
    Steelers over HOU

Steelers over ravens once again at home in the AFC Championship!

    "Can't Wait!"

    AFC:
    Denver over Baltimore
    Houston over Cincy

    Steelers over Houston
    Denver over NE

Steelers over Denver (insert commentators once again diminishing the Steelers for going to the Superbowl without facing NE, without mentioning that NE wasn't good enough to get there)

    NFC:
    Detroit over Giants
    NO over Altlanta

    NO over 49ers
    Detroit over GB

    Detroit over NO

    Superbowl

    Steelers over Detroit

    One can dream, right?

Whoever the AFC sends will most likely lose to either the Packers or Saints. I don't see anybody from the NFC beating either of these two. They are just head and shoulders above everyone else.

If the AFC has to go through New England I doubt that the Cheatriots lose either. The Steelers would need to play two perfect games to beat them and then either GB/NO. I haven't seen them put two perfect games together in a row this season. Hopefully I am way off base, and that is why they play the games, cause any given sunday. :flag:

    1. NE
    2. PIT
    3. HOU
    4. DEN/OAK
    5. BAL
    6. CIN

    Wildcard: CIN>HOU, BAL>DEN/OAK
Divisional: PIT>BAL (Entire Ravens team commits collective suicide in locker room after game), NE>CIN
    AFC Conference Championship: PIT>NE
    Superbowl XLVI: PIT>NO

    Stairway to 7 complete.

Somebody provide a game play that they think will work against GB or NO. I just don't see us beating either of them.

    1) Ben must play like he did against NE

    2) Mendy must run as he has been the last few games (ie sans dancing, more hole hitting)

    3) O-Line must decide to "block or die"

    4) Defense just has to be themselves... and also play man coverage most of the game

NO is ranked low in defense. That margin is where the Steelers can win, but the offense MUST do it's part by protecting the ball and putting up points.

I think we've proven that we can move the ball effectively against both of those teams. Last year we played them both and had success. The reason we lost those games? Turnovers. In both games, our turnovers were very costly. If we eliminate our turnovers, I believe we have a favorable chance of beating anyone.

We turned the ball over 3 times against Green Bay in the Super Bowl, and one of those turnovers was a pick 6. Yet we still had a shot to win that game in the end. I think if you played that game 10 times, Pittsburgh wins at least 7 of them.

Eliminate the Turn-overs and do what Pittsburgh did to them in the Super Bowl! It isn't hard, Kemo blocks his guy and doesn't get bullrushed, that's a 90+ yard TD, Mendenhal doesn't fumble, looking at least a FG there. Seeing as they lost by 7 I figure a +10 and minus the 7 they gave up on the pick 6.....

Exactly. Focused, disciplined play should eliminate turnovers and result in at least near-perfect execution of plays on offense which result in scores. Slight tweaks make the Steelers unstoppable. But, they must focus.

why sir do you say dreamers???? there is a very legit shot that we make the SB this year and lose to the NFC....or upset rodgers or brees

I'm critical of the team, but make no mistake... I believe Ben can out-perform Brees or Rodgers in the SB. Ben is a "moment" guy. When the pressure is on #7 usually delivers. My critique of Ben is based on what could make him be great on a more consistent basis. But no other QB in the league can be what Ben is. Coupled with the determination of the rest of the team they can be unstoppable... even when stacked up against the Patriots, Packers and Saints. And that is... NO DOUBT!

HERE WE GO STEELERS!! HERE WE GO!!!!

I agree, the turnovers killed us. Take those away and we win. A few turnovers against a good team are hard to over come. So no turnovers and a gameplan like they had against the patriots and I think we can beat anyone.
