I'm going to have to respectfully disagree.
They were not firing on all cylinders in Baltimore, but my God, they fired that machine up in the 2nd.
Miami, he had them in line for the win.

But I also said GOAT level 'nearly' - he needs to win some rings.
But for the meantime, Allen is playing very, very well.

I’m seeing goat level rn from Mahomes. He’s operating on the highest level currently with a worse offensive cast than Allen. Against bmore in 2 games they’ve stupidly been up a lot and went to prevent defense. Allen is looking good but I don’t think he’s operating on the level you claimed. He was yesterday though.

I see it the opposite way.
Allen is doing it with all the tools of the trade.
Mahomes is a gimmick to me. Though I do rate the two as 1a and 1b.
Mahomes has that 'sandlot' knack of making plays, he does those very well.
Allen is more of a complete package, big arm, sees the field perfectly, great anticipation, impeccable timing, great running ability and can throw on the run.
The rematch of those two will definitely be the game to watch.

I would take either on my team.

There is a long list and he might not be at the top, but he is one of the worst punters in the league. All he has is a big leg that we sometimes see, but often don't (if he can even keep it in bounds). He struggles at direction and pinning teams inside the 20.

I would seriously look for another punter for next season.

    You’re right, 3 non-playoff years.
Regardless, to replenish talent sometimes you need to lose a couple of years.

I agree. Can make an argument for either one of them as to who is the best in the league right now.

Glad Tony pointed it out , because last year I pointed out something similar, and got laughed at, and told it was Ben's fault why Claypool didn't adjust His route correctly.

I agree. They took Mahomes biggest weapon away, and He still keeps ticking.
People laugh when I say it really takes awhile to see who is truly great, and that is why. Not who is good, but who is great. As I recall J. Allen wasn't all that till they got Diggs.....and No people I'm not saying J. Allen isn't good......, but there is a difference in good, great, and definitely GOAT .
Hell Jets Qb looked great against us in the 4th Qtr.

Looking at the All 22 films.

Pickett actually played very well and made the most of a lot of bad situations.
He's right in that 'we must score' - you can place a finger directly on the ground game for the most part.
---YOU MUST BE ABLE TO POUND THE BALL--- with some effectiveness. Our ground game sucks.

As I said early, Romo and just about everyone that saw this agrees, Allen is incredible. He threw to almost perfection.

Our DB's played somewhat admirable, the pick in the endzone by Wallace was crazy good.
Fitzpatrick had one ripped from him, and credit where credit is due, the Buffalo WR's are frigging pros.

    The Receiving Corps:
Pickens, Johnson and Claypool all had some nice catches. Pickens is going to be awesome.
The Steelers need to have a TE and the TE position is very important for a rookie QB..
When 88 is not on the field, there is a major letdown. I think the Steelers have to find another TE (or two) in the off season as concussions are nothing to play with.
It's going to be a long season if 88 does not return.

    The Ground game:
17 rushes are not going to be good enough. The Steelers needed the ground game working to keep Josh Allen off the field.
At this point I am going to agree with some in that Warren needs to start.
Harris is far better but right now he is not. If his foot is still bothering him, sit him. Something isn't the same there.
They are going to have to find a RB in the Draft if Harris can't regain form and Warren can't rise to the challenge.

Heyward - Did anyone see him 20 yards down the field make a tackle? That's not a good thing.
Not one Steeler Defender got into double digit tackles, not one.

    Redzone Offense
    No ground game, no success.
With the short field, 30yards playing surface, the Bills could use the boundaries to contain the Steeler Receivers, they didn't have to worry about a run.
Safeties barely had to check for the run.
Play calls - Was the run game that bad because they abandoned it? Or is it that bad that they can't call it?
Putting Kenny in a shootout against Josh Allen is nuts. Like putting Allen in a shootout against Brady some years ago, Brady easily one that one.
Really disappointed with the play selection be it neccessity or whatever.

    Redzone Defense
Come on man (Michael Irvin version) You cannot give that Bills offense the ball on a short field. Too many weapons.
They can run, they can pass, the QB can run, just too many weapons.
There wasn't much pressure. Pittsburgh doesn't have a guy that 'you don't throw at.'

    Special Teams
    Christ... where to start?
Harvin is possibly the worst punter in the league, stats says he's like the 4th worst but this guy is worse.
James Pierre made a heck of a play after a heck of a bad play.
Boswell, what to say... hmmmm. Well, FG's weren't going to help.

    Time of Possession
Steelers won that but only because the Bills were like the old Jim "Machine gun Kelly" Blitzkrieg attack... they just scored points.

Overall, in the end, I needed a puke can.. blown coverages, confusion, sorry tackling, etc... Tomlin was right in that it was a beating.

I don't think Highsmith is getting worse. I think the Bills were smart enough to make sure he was blocked and dare anybody else on that defense to make a play. They couldn't.

It's time to bench Bush. I don't care who you have to play in his place. It isn't about production. It is a matter of limited effort and constant hesistation. His isn't there. He came clean on a blitz against Allen and didn't even lay a finger on him. It's time to show players are accountable by benching his sorry ass.

I also disagree about Fitzpatrick. I love that he was out there even though he is hurting. He looked like the knee was slowing him down, forcing him to be more careful when he cut. That said, Davis's second touchdown is absolutely on him. Davis had one hand on the ball. Fitzpatrick had both arms around and let the guy rip it from his arms. That can't happen.

You can't beat Allen with no pressure, even if the secondary is good. This secondary is not good. Norwood absolutely blew the coverage on that long touchdown. Sure, it was a great throw, but that doesn't matter if the safety doesn't get out of position.

I saw Ryan Clark go off on the team this morning. I haven't found the clip online. He basically said that Pickett was the only one showing any fight. The rest of the team gave up and that starts with Tomlin. Clark absolutely loves Tomlin, so that has to get you wondering about how bad things look.

Same here. That was the least stressed I've been watching a regular season Steelers game, maybe ever. It's sadly that I had such low expectations going into the game. The only time I really got upset was on the hits to Muth and Pickett.

I agree. The comments weren't completely fair to a few players, including Warren and Heyward. I think the larger point was that he was putting the blame on Tomlin, which speaks volumes given how highly Clark thinks of Tomlin.

Sad part is that the Bills were missing three WRs, one of whom was a starter, and their starting TE. Could have been way worse

We are missing that 'dog' in our LB room, Vince Williams was the last one.

Mahomes is the best qb bar none. Allen is second best. I think Bills are a better team but chiefs are better coached
