There is still a lot of CFB left and although I like Bryce Young the most maybe another guy ends the year and grades out even better. Burrow was a nobody until his last year at LSU. If we have a number 1 or 2 pick it definitely is a tricky spot as we might not get a chance like that again for 15-20 years. I’m sure the Steelers will do what most of you say but boy would it suck if the guy we didn’t take ends up being a star and KP flames out in 2/3 years.

Im not just talking about yesterday I’m talking about his overall body of work. I can’t imagine a worst professional coordinator out there.

He had a slight shoulder sprain and could have played, Saban was smart and held him out. If I recall this was the first game missed since he took over as a sophomore. He was just shy of 5000 yards with 47 passing TDs in his first year of starting. There is no injury history with him at all.

Losing records are losing records. There is no difference between 6-10 and 1-16 except if you had to pick one I’d almost want 1-16 for the higher pick. I don’t believe in purposely tanking but if your legit going to have a bad season I almost hope it’s a complete implosion.

NE went 5-11 the year after Brady retired with one of the best coaches in the history of the NFL

    I guess I was wrong

53 years it’s been since Steelers have been double digit underdogs.
    And Vegas was right.
    How could everyone know?

1969 they say on SiriusXM NFL Opening Drive this morning.

anyone with BRAINS could know.. We suck, blow - whatever you want. No one feels sorry for the Steelers, NO-ONE. Vegas knows, that is their job

With all the success through the years why WOULD anyone feel sorry for the Steelers? Do you feel sorry for the Pats? Or are you giggling with glee like the rest of us?

Buffalo is going to make a lot of people look bad this year and maybe for the next couple years.
Allen is simply playing at a GOAT level nearly.
You cannot play this team at half power, you need to be at your very best.

This is a good lesson for our young QB. He stood strong, I greatly admire that.

    Out of the 1-4 teams:
Washington and Carolina look like teams that will not sniff another win. They are rudderless and in stormy seas. They are terrible.
Detroit and Vegas will get some wins. (Detroit was the highest scoring offense?! Wow)
Houston, I just don't know... that franchise sucks and could be lumped in with Washington and Carolina and not see another win.

For Pittsburgh, we lost four players Sunday in addition to the ones already gone.
TJ had that arthroscopic surgery which, ok, might as well get that out of the way.. He's not going to save the season.
But if the players healed up and all took the field after the bye, it still tough to envision more than 5 wins.
So, I think a 5th pick is feasible to think about.

I hate to think it, but I wonder if shopping TJ is worth it? Grab a pick or two.
    I hate that idea but..

Cowher only had 2 consecutive losing seasons in '98 and '99. His other one was '03.

Quarterback is the LEAST of the Steelers problems. We have our quarterback. It’s time to build the team around him, especially in the trenches.

Probably not a good idea to defer the winning coin toss. I got to watch Josh Allen's greatest day in the NFL. That 99 yard TD pass couldn't have been placed in any better position for the receiver. It was that way all afternoon. Steelers got no pressure and their receivers were running great routes. Our WR's can even get open hardly.

I dislike Romo, but he pointed out Claypool is not a qb friendly wide receiver. He was wide open, but instead of continuing across the middle he went further upfield letting the DB get underneath and breakup the pass.

Same prediction here. Well, I think we're looking at the #1 pick next draft if nothing changes. Sad.

As sad as it is, they would be smart to trade that pick.

allen wasn’t that good in a few games. Against bmore and Miami so I wouldn’t say goat level. They actually should have lost to bmore.

After reading the article posted above, this game seems to be just a continuation of our defensive trend. 5 of our last 13 games had us behind by at least 3 TD's in the 4th qtr. I agree injuries impact just like you said but can this excuse go back to last year as well? Everyone has an idea or two on what needs to happen, all of which won't. JMO>
