You had some talking heads saying they could go 17-0, because they brought everybody back from last year.

Gronk came back, but he clearly is in distress, especially when reaching for passes.

    Total team loss.

    1. Ben was awful.
    2. The O-line was atrocious. How many holding penalties did they have and they still couldn't protect or create holes.
    3. Suisam misses a kick.
    4. Ray Ray never saw a punt he wouldn't let hit the ground.
    5. The D, hampered by injuries granted, generated less pressure than a old garden hose.
    6. The coaching staph, led by Matt Canada's 4th and 10 call, was wanting.

Here's Tomlin on the loss today. Sounds good but it is really what he says after every loss. Not sure what to expect from a head coach after a loss. I guess there's not much to say.

"We have to absorb that, and the negativity that comes with that, the result that comes with that and resolve to be better. Those are our intentions. That's what we talked about in there.

"They were in control of the game," said Tomlin. "It was 24-7 for a significant portion of the game. When you're in that position, you're not going to expose yourself to negativity. It's situational. Yes, we had people missing, but how the game was unfolding was an element of play in that as well."

"Like I just told them, absorb the negativity that comes with our positioning and how we perform and keep your mouth shut and resolve to do better," said Tomlin. "And that's not only for them, but that's for all of us, players and coaches."

Ben is just not accurate on his deep ball he doesn't get enough air under them to give his guy a chance to run it down, probably because of his bad knees ...Teams know this and have little to no fear that Ben can connect on them..

That pass 2 Claypool down the sideline could easily been run under, but yes when You stop , turn around....then have 2 jump for the ball everytime that looks like that.

I don't think Pierre gave up on that long touchdown pass. The receiver pushed off and got away with it. That fits in with your No. 9. Poor officiating handed the Bengals that touchdown, between the ridiculous roughing the passer call on Ingram and missing the push-off on the touchdown.

Haden played. He just didn't play particularly well. You are right about them desperately needing to get Tuit, Watt, and Highsmith back. Ingram looked slow. Jones hesitated way too often. Those two are fine as the backups, but neither should be starting.
