Protect the QB I would presume at all costs. JMO>

Agreed. They have faltered in the fourth quarter far too many times this season.

Exactly. That was not the design of that play. Pickett had absolutely no time to throw. The play call is one thing, but when you see a guy like that who is clearly coming and he's going to be unblocked, the protection needs to change. There's no excuse for that. No QB would have had a chance on that play

One thing people defending the defense need to remember is that one of their first-half stops was a gift from the Ravens. After Alualu's sack, they allowed Huntley to get Baltimore to fourth-and-1 with a couple of scrambles. The Steelers had no shot at stopping the Ravens in short yardage yesterday unless Baltimore did something stupid, but that's exactly what happened. Instead of just running the Steelers over, they went for either a fake jet sweep or a real one, but Huntley collided with his guard and lost control of the ball, leading to a loss on the play. It was a poor play-call and execution.

I said during the Game on the Game day Thread....something to the effect of....KP has to learn to see that there will be a free rusher in that circumstance, and reset the line, and point it out, or Hit the Hot.
I didn't say in in that many, or exact words , but I did bring it up.

agreed. Someone, including the QB, needs to adjust the play and/or protection at the line. It’s a total failure if no one sees the free rusher - it’s also a total failure if someone sees but does nothing.

I agree with everything except number 10. More is expected of our defense than our offense. Yes Mitch threw three interceptions. But I am willing to bet if he played conservative and didn’t turn the ball over we wouldn’t;t have scored any points. To me when your defense is the highest paid it is your job to take the pressure off of your string QB to win the game. We were in a position with a little over two minutes to stop them and we couldn’t. The defense didn’t even afford Mitch the luxury to try for a fourth interception.

I'm not saying the quarterback can't help adjust for those things, too, but that was clearly a screw-up on the offensive line.

No I agree, but KP has to learn, and see it coming....as do the line, and work together to make the correct line changes. In another words.....Help each other. I suspect He will. He seems smart, and willing to learn. Hell....They may not even give Him this freedom for all I know.

Cleveland gave up almost as many rushing yds to the Ravens as we did,......
Sure looks like their defense still did enough

Yeah some people are blind about the 3 ints Trubisky threw. That is why We lost. Ravens ran 193 yards on the Browns...,and still lost....because the Browns didn't throw 3ints.
Proves exactly what I tried saying all week. You can give up 600 yards, and only 16 points ....as long as Your freaking Qb doesn't throw 3ints, and only one td
