    1. Mitch Trabisky will start the season as QB1, but the Kenny Pickett countdown is officially on

    2. Speaking of Pickett.... His poise in the face of pressure is highly impressive... Especially for a rookie

    3. Benny Snail may just stick around, albeit at the bottom of the depth chart

    4. Don't look now, but Tyler Vaughns is about to shake up the wr rm

    5. Still quite worried about the o-line

    6. TJ Watt is ready to defend his dpoy title

    7. Demontae kazee may be coming for Terrell Edmunds starting spot

    8. Mason Rudolph is putting on a good performance for would be suitors

    9. Devin Bush is about to be demoted

    10. We've been very fortunate on the injury front (knock on wood)

We got to figure something out with o line. We won't have enough money to make a trade, nor next year have enough for a top one. So it's going to be relying on the draft for oline, dline, oline.

Could there be anything to the idea someone threw out there of Kazee taking Edmunds spot while he moves to ILB?

Pretty much agree. Who the hell knows for sure but I believe years from now Steeler fans will speak highly of 3 QB's, Bradshaw, Ben R. and Kenny Pickett. I love his attitude and am a little more confident we won't have to go through the wait we had from Bradshaw to Ben.I'll never make it so lets go Kenny!!!!

My dream headline years from now in the Pittsburgh papers: Well the Steelers passed on one U of P great (Marino) but sure made it up with the Pickett pick.:)

    Mine....
    Run D still looks bad.
Mitch ran twice when He had open Wrs, but was watching the rush instead. Go watch.
Snell probably...all things considered (S.T) still makes the team.
    Bush...
    T. Edmunds kinda looked good.
    Pickett looks the best.
Fans have a preconceived notion of Mason.

Mason proved that he can be a quality #2 backup in the league and he can become a very rich man by doing just that. Look at guys like Blaine Gabbert and Colt McCoy who have been in the NFL for over a decade collecting a paycheck. Rudolph is at least as good as those guys.

Doesn't change how everyone is over looking what Trubisky is doing. Just because they like one over the other, and not actually anything 2 do with football.

I thought the coaching staff should have played Trubisky more in the first 2 games. This isn't a situation like Big Ben who you gave a couple of drives during the preseason to knock off a little rust. Trubisky is in a new system and hasn't started a game in 2 years, he needs to be out on the field for at least the first half in the last preseason game.

    This.....
It is so reminding Me of the exact same thing they did with the OL last year during preseason. Remember..
They picked the guys played them very little, and went with it. Preconceived. I'm very worried about this.

Watching Seattle vs Bears made me discount all the good things from Seahawks vs Steelers

The Seahawks might be the worst in the NFL this year.

I'm concerned about LT and C. We didn't do great drafting there imo.

It looked like Myles Jack was showing Devin Bush how to play ILB. I'm actually embarrassed for Bush.

As for Myles Jack, welcome to the Steelers:good:

Oh... I would actually be quite intrigued to such an idea.

That said, time simply is not on the Steelers side here for experimentation. Rather, not in the sense of making Terrell full time to ILB. However, working him closer to the line of scrimmage while having Kazee in via the Nickel Package?! That area is definitely a possibility I would want to explore.

Regarding 9, I believe that, by the time the end of the Preseason comes around, Devin Bush will be demoted for certain. Mark Robinson continues to make plays. Not just him though, Robert Spillane has also been rock solid sans the coverage woes he has experienced against Seattle.

Agree with 5. Need some reinforcements there.

Currently watching the Browns / Eagles games...Each team has run for over 80 yards already...

We ran for 24...The entire game!

I was so excited for the upcoming season but ..I just can't see how this team can be legitimately competitive...With the OL we have, as currently constructed! They ALL look horrible!

    * On a side note...* " Aditi the Dingbat" is an absolute horrible reporter...Painful to listen to ..

    YES

It was painful to listen to. Especially how the analyst would start mumbling halfway through the play, every time

I know the o-line is concerning, but how refreshing to see a QB scrambling at more than decrepit pace.

With the o line being what it is, I hope they’re working on scramble drills in practice.

The worst Steelers o-line I've seen was the first half of the season in 2013 when the Steelers gave like 30 sacks in the first 8 games despite being in a quick passing offense with Todd Haley....They gave only 9 sacks after that when they changed OL coach during the season, since our o-line coach was possibly the worst coach ever!

But my point is I just hope it will not be bad at this level....The Steelers need to look at the players who are going to be available either in the trade block or through the cut but is it is realistic to find good player at this time?...I'm not sure

Is it too late to offer a king's ransom to get Mike Munchak to give up his retired year with Denver and come back to Pittsburgh?

Munchak isn't a miracle worker. We just don't have the talent. We were a bottom quartile OL last year and don't looking to be any better this year (although I will say I put little value in preseason games, either good or bad.)

We all want to optimistic, but let's be real. No run D, no OL, and average, at best, QB, play in a conference stacked with QB's does not bode well.

I've been on the record of not favoring Edmonds return. But, after watching last nights contest he seemed to have a head of steam throwing himself around making plays. It was refreshing. Maybe the diss of them not giving him the 5th year option and leaving him hang out there only bringing him back at a reduced price has given him some motivation.

As Ask said it's a bit late in the tooth for a position change but using him more close to the line would not hurt.

Bush obviously is not thinking in the same vein. He will become obsolete with Spillane and Robinson making solid strides.

The Steelers should have plenty of money to spend in free agency next year, guys like Chuks, Trubisky, and Larry O could be off the books.
