There is no way to put it mildly, this is just a below average team with too many over-paid average players, too many weaknesses to correct, and fast but not strong players.

    1. The Steelers are waaaaay too predictable, you don't even need to watch film to prepare for them.

The defense shows the same fronts play after play and week after week. The Steelers don't have the horses for a 3-4 defense because they don't have good edge rushers, and the front 3 don't have the strength and muscle to get any push up the middle. The Steelers have the horses to play a 4-3 base defense, and should probably help the DB's some by mixing it up and showing a 3-3-5 or the Buddy Ryan 46 defense.
The LB's miss too man tackles and the edge guys just aren't capable.
We would be better off just using 3 LB's and putting a 4th horse up front, or bringing in an extra DB and using one of the 3 LB's on a blitz if a gap opens up.
Or use 4 man fronts, a single LB, and 6 DB's. That way you get more pressure on the QB, and get DB help, but makes you vulnerable to the run - [but in a pass happy league.....]

    2. The Steelers aren't a very strong team from a muscular standpoint. They don't look like a team with a passion for the weight room. With limits on practice time, there is no excuse to have a football team that has players with a soccer team physique.
Physically strong players can take a pounding and withstand injury and recover faster than players that don't throw around the iron.
The Steelers are a fast team, no doubt. And speed is great, but football is about strength too.

    3. The Steelers are predictable on offense as well. Whats wrong with mixing it up by putting 2 backs in the backfield, using 2 TE's, or going with 4 or 5 WR's and a no-huddle?
Why so much shotgun and hardly any play action?
On 1st down why not show the defense 2 RB's and 3WR's, they don't know if you are going to run or throw.
    Then on 2nd down show 2 RB's, a TE, and 2 Wr's.
    Then on 3rd down show 2 TE's, 2 WR's, a single back. Or 5 WR's.
It seems like the Steelers show a single back, a TE, and 3 WR's on every down!
It seems like teams aren't built to stop the run anymore, ever since they got rid of the artificial turf they got rid of the running game.
Whats wrong with 3 or 4 yards in a cloud of dust [ or shredded tires] behind some weight lifting studs.
    Moves the chains!

    5. Money has just about ruined the game, players play hard because they want that money on their second contract. When you are driven by the desire for money, rather than the love of winning, then you are going to have "satisfied" players when they get the money, instead of hungry players.
You have players who dream of Super Bowls and the Hall of Fame, and you have players who dream of big contracts and big houses, car collections, and women.
The NFL is replete with guys who got the big contract and their play fell off, or they just got lazy and quit.
The Steelers philosophy of building a winning team through the draft isn't working, they seem to draft good players who take losing well. And they talk about money more than winning.
When you are trying to decide which of 2 to keep that are closely matched in talent, keep the guy that is driven by winning and the love of the game.
