My first live regular season game is December 30.

I went to a preseason game in 2005 against the Dolphins but this will be my first regular season game. As a fan since 1975 this is exciting irregardless of the team's record.

Awesome! I too am a long distance fan, although I've traveled to see them play in New Jersey a number of times too.

My first in person game at the Burgh was back in 1991. When I attended the 2008 AFC title game it was akin to a religious experience.

To deal with the cold, remember- wear layers.

 

When its cold, its not only cold, its damn cold. The wind off of the 3 rivers makes it tough. The first game I went to was in 06. It was 6* that night at 7 pm and the wind was blowing about 20-30 mph. My bottle of water froze at my feet. LOL I think the wind chill was like -10. But I loved every minute of it.

I told my wife, look for me on tv, I was going to take my shirt off and my chest was going to be half black half gold. I sent her a text before the game and told her not to look for my, I wasnt taking anything off. lol BUT there was a drunk guy 4 rows down with nothing but his jeans on. By the 3rd quarter, he was completely red.

I also trying to get to the Dec 30th game. Was planning on staying there and spending New Years Eve in the burgh. But I have to be back at work on the 2nd, so I have to make sure a big snow storm isnt going to happen.
