Marcus Davenport in rd 1 and pray marcus Allen falls to us in 2.....and then mike gisecki is rd 3 (although this is by far a long shot after the monster combine he just had) what’s you guys fantasy situation........ also like Ronnie Harrison in rd 1 if md gone. Other fantasies are obviously cut Mitchell and switch to 4-3 defense, and coach tomlin comes down with explosive diahhrea daily and is unable to coach

I've done basically no research yet, but my first stab at what I hope we do is:
    1. Leighton Van Essch (sp) ILB
    2. Justin Reid S
    5a. Troy Apke S

There are a bunch of safeties better than Marcus Allen in this draft, Gisecki won't last until the third round.

Jesse Bates is becoming an intriguing option. I dont' have him as a Round 1 guy, but if we want to avoid last year's fate, we may need to trade up in RouND 2 to grab a safety, if we go elsewhere in round 1.

    1. Ronnie Harrison- hybrid defense SS and small LB.
    2. Kerryon Johnson- future replacement for bell teamed with Conner when he's back.
    3. Terrell Edmunds- see harrison above. Team him with harrison in the hybrid defense as SS/LB.
    5. Leon Jacobs- as an ILB/OLB replacement for moats. A bigger, faster, stronger version.

    1. LVE ILB
    2. Jordan Whitehead./Jesse bates Safety Whitehead could PR, RB in a squeeze, all around good player.
    3. Ballage RB. We would be set after Bell leave with Ballage Conner, Ridley Toussant

I love where your head is at but i think people will be surprised at how harrison can play deep safety. Now before i get roasted let me say he is not troy BUT just as troy covered alot of field, harrison has that ability. I have seen him get to balls that most couldnt.

Fitzpatrick is a stud but harrison was the glue on bamas defense. He is what allowed the guys in front of him to play as aggressive as they did. He is a future all pro

I think he and Edmund's are both that type of player and would love to get both. They are extremely versatile and you can do so many things with these guys on the field.

I will also add to the above it wouldn't surprise me if we took one or the other and later added a guy like flowers or Bates at some point. I do think we might get two to help the hybrid situation some.

    A couple of iterations:

    Ideal
    1. LB Rashaan Evans, Alabama
    2. S Jessie Bates, Wake Forest
    3. RB Kalen Ballange, Arizona St

    Realistic
    1. LB Leighton Vanderesch, Boise St
    2. S Terrell Edmunds, VA Tech
    3. OT Branden Parker, North Carolina A&T

    Interesting
    1. QB Mason Rudolph, Oklahoma St
    2. ILB Shaquem Griffin, UCF
    3. OLB Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, Oklahoma

Curious, does the addition of Morgan Burnett, remove Safety as being a priority in this draft? Should we be removing S from our 3 round mocks?

He's a late round pick, also not good in coverage.

Maybe I'm biased because I played little league with him.
