Murky Safety situation makes me nervous

Maybe they're waiting him out, but it seems like they're done for now in terms name free agents.

If I had to guess I'd say Honey Badger is waiting on the right combination of money and perceived SB chances.

I was on board with looking at bringing in Mathieu when the news broke he was released. Sign him sign everyone right?!

The issue is we have a playmaking safety on the roster in Fitzpatrick. The need is a player that can play in the box well as cover. Mathieu is not that type. Nor was the reach Edmonds.

I can see a strong safety being drafted. If Kyle Hamilton falls to us He would be a plug in type from day one.

There were times when coaches asked him to play multiple positions as well, ranging from linebacker, box safety, or roaming safety, and he excelled at every spot. Hamilton's impact on his entire unit can't be understated, either.Mar 21, 2022

I'm sure we are hoping to address the position in the draft. If we can't we'll sign a FA.

 

A little Scarry. If all starting positions are filled except Starting SS; Who is our Starting 3rd WR and who are the 3 starting CBs?

Colbert did say the Steelers have all their starting positions filled outside of strong safety. Terrell Edmunds could still return, but changed his Twitter account recently, removing all his Steelers information.
