No it couldn't have when there's a travel for the city. Hell, I90 is closed from Buffalo to the PA Line.

 

Wow, That living by the lake ain't so much fun. I'm going Golfing and those poor people are breaking their backs dealing with snow.

 

Lol agree. I'm just glad I live in Portland. Our winters are generally in the 40s and 50s with rain. This weekend is ironically one of the exceptions and is downright cold.

 

I was telling some friends about how we may not go tomorrow and they gave an optimistic response, "we will be 1 of 9 teams left".

Should we not play until Tuesday and win the game they best have us last game scheduled for the following weekend.

 

Shoot, just move it the North Pole. The weather can’t be any worse there.

My nephew is a commercial pilot for Southwest and flew several years for American. I asked him about his thoughts on a flight from Pittsburgh to Buffalo at about that time this afternoon and his response was…

Weather looks ok. Strong gusty winds but it’s right down the runway (meaning no crosswinds). I’d do it.

I feel better now.

 

I also have a good friend that's a commercial pilot and I don't like listening to the things he tells me. I'd rather not know the truth.

 

This is very misleading, yes there were a lot of postponements back in the 1930's and 40's but none were for snow. The Steelers in a game against Brooklyn was cancelled because the Steelers who had a roster of 20 players didn't have enough players to field a team. Back then there were 7 games cancelled because of rain. Remember a big crowd back then was around 2,000 fans, if it was raining hard the owners would postpone the game so they could get more people to come and watch the game in dryer weather. There were many postponements during WW2 because teams were scrambling to find enough eligible players to field a team. So yes until the last couple of years there has never been a game postponed for snow.

 

I understand. My nephew has told me a few things over the years and my thought is “man, I’ve got to pray for you more, lol”.

 

I'm beginning to wonder if this damn game is ever going to get played!?
