Just an article I just read, that I hadn`t seen referenced in other threads here.
Obviously( Thanks, Tomlin), we`ve had lots of other things on our collective minds recentley, but, I know there are a lot of people on this board pullin for him, and this seemed like some positive news on Sean`s status.
    Just thought I`d share.
I especially liked his take on learning from Larry Foote, and his attitude regarding being back.
Pretty humble, and grateful for a chance to come back, but in no way satisfied to be a "#2"/backup...
"I think I can be the best"...
We can never have too many good linebackers!!!:steelflag:
    GO STEELERS!!!

Here is my question and I do hope he makes it back, does he have the speed to cover a slot receiver? Obviously Timmons is an entrenched starter and Shazier seems to be turning heads and firing up DL's creative juices add to that JJ moving all over the place would it be a stretch to see Spence in a sub package at nickel? Does he offer a better option that some of the DB's, better in run support and such?

I`m not sure where where he will be used, since we seem to suddenly have an abundance of lb`s, IF his recovery is as good as advertised...
BUT... I`m pretty sure we will find a way to use him, even if it`s only as a rotational lb`r.
    Inside? Outside?
    Who cares?
If his body is healthy enough to let him make plays on the field...
I`m sure LeBeau, and Tomlin will find a way to get him on the field.
I`m not a big fan of "specialized' players in any sport.
If you can play the game, I believe there is a spot for ya...
He may never be a safety, but, I have faith they will find a spot for him on the field, if he shows he can do it...
May not be ILB, might be back up ILB...
Might be Rolb... Might be Lolb...
If he can get after the ball, and bring the ballcarrier to the ground, the coaches will find a role for him.
If they didn`t think he was special, they wouldn`t have kept him around this long.
Yes they drafted others, just in case, but, if he is really healthy, they will find a way to use his talents.
It will be like a "bonus pick". Pays off 2 years after we picked...If it wasn`t for a fluke injury in the last pre-season game, maybe we wouldn`t have picked a couple guys on the team now?
    GO STEELERS!

Keep hearing about this good news, but haven't seen any real video of him out there making the cuts. We'll see how well he plays when they put the pads on I guess.
