I wouldn't have guessed that either. Let them play 20 or so more games and they're sure to drop down the list. ;)

They used to be a perenially good team during the Shula years. Maybe before your time?

Oh it gets better folks I started a thread about this several weeks ago. The Steelers have ruled on MNF since Cowher first started coaching. I was researching it yesterday just to find the numbers. Cowher was 9-0 on MNF at home. THeir record on the road was just as impressive if I remember correctly I think they lost just one game on MNF under Cowher near the end of his career. The record since 2007 is 6-0 so I every confidence that they show up Monday night big time. Sunday night is closer to 50/50 in win loss and I dont feel good about that at all. Much rather have a MNF game where I know the team plays solid under the lights.

It helps that our schedule is always heavily MNF and SNF-loaded. I'd have to check the stats, but it seems that every year we get more night games than anyone else, and more games equals more chance to overload the stats.

True! And - I really miss the 1:00 Sunday games. I hate night games and having to wait all day. This week is the first time I truly liked our position - knowing how we stood going into the game.

I love the fact that football is all day Sunday, and always enjoy watching the 1pm or 4:15 games with a crowd of people in a bar. The night games kill me. If I go out, there's just people there for dinner, and if I stay in, I'm zonked on the couch by half time! :)

Try watching it the other side of the Atlantic, when the game finishes at 4.30 in the morning. You learn to hate the Steeler's tendency for nail-biting finishes at a whole different level.

Wow, yes, I'd have to call into work! I already hate that you can never take a lead for granted with our boys!

The worst this season was against the Cards (I think? Memory is dying). Told my gf I would watch the first quarter then turn in for the night. She got up to go to work the next day (she has early starts) and I was still watching the game.
