MLB Postseason

With the World Series around the corner, who do yinz want to take the Pennant? I personally want to see the Astros take it home. Ive had enough of the yankees and don't really care for the Dodgers.

Wow, these Astros just don't go away. Every time the Dodgers get a lead the Stros come storming back.

Go Astros. Helluva game last night. Who stayed up to watch it?

 

Heck it was only a bit after 10pm when it ended out here (and I was in a house full of very stunned and sad Dodger fans). My favorite teams are ALWAYS whoever is facing the Dodgers or Pats. It was a win-win rooting for the Steelers in one TV room and the Stros in the other TV room. Shut 'em down Verlander!

 

I'm not really a baseball fan. I root for the Dodgers because they were my Mom's team. Also, the first game I ever went to was when my folks took us from San Diego to Chavez Ravine in '63 to see a Dodger game. Back then, it was an all day ordeal to get up hwy 1 to LA. Koufax was pitching that day and I fell asleep in the 3rd!

 

Good to see Orel and Tommy with the 1st pitch and Koufax and Vin in the stands! 1 more W!!

 

Have to say that was nice seeing those guys (Steve Garvey too earlier in the series). I was stunned seeing those stats that Orel put up in the '88 series - 3 complete game wins, 2 shutouts and a save "ta boot"! And that's on the heels of his 60 plus/minus consecutive shutout innings pitched in the regular season.

 

He was a machine! I'm wondering who's gonna come out tonight? The corpse of Don Drysdale?

 

Los pinches Doyers are getting wrecked.

Well, that sucked!

 

Funny how the Astros needed an ex-Pirate to close out the Dodgers down the stretch. Good old Ground Chuck! Roberts did a lousy job with his pitchers - Darvish should have been yanked after first 3 batters - even Smoltz saw that he didn't have it in the 1st inning. Congrats Houston - long time coming. I'm heading there for Thanksgiving - should be interesting.

 

I can't believe Darvish was left in as long as they did?
