I actually like the extension. It’s only 2 years and it’s not real WR1 money. It’s pretty much a prove-it contract. So far Johnson is proving he’s not a true WR1.

He’s very frustrating to watch. The ability is there, but so are the drops. I’m not sure at this point that it will ever change. He’s always going to be Jekyll and Hyde which makes him more a good WR2 than a true 1.

 

Even though They didn't pay Him huge Wrs money.....I agree, and this was the exact thing I argued about before the signing. It's not Ben out there, and all Qbs see things differently....So wait , and see whomever the Qb is ,and who they find rapport with.

 

That’s why you don’t tie your username to a current player, especially one who showed upside but was never able to really prove it.

 

Tomlin doesn't have time to talk about it, but then talks about it. Sort of.

Well....I listened to a few of Belichicks conferences before He would play us, and I had trouble with hearing half His answers with Him mumbling, and He's a great coach....So....like I said each 2 their own

 

MT got benched because of poor play, and the offense couldn't score, I doubt the argument had anything to do with it.

Trubisky had reason to be pissed at Johnson after that first half, too. The interception was Johnson's fault and his lazy footwork cost them a touchdown pass. If he does his job properly on those two plays, Trubisky probably would have started the second half.
