I'd rather Torrence or Avila if we don't wanna change Centers. If we want Schmidt, who I personally think is great, we should want him for Center and move Cole to Guard.

I dream about it daily. But I recognize it won't happen :(

So I'm adjusting my wishes and hoping we build a dominant DLine instead

If Schmitz was drafted he could compete for the LG position as a rookie, then take over at center in 2024.

I would still take the youngster Luke Wypler over Schmitz. Wypler declared early and is still only 21, compared to Schmitz who is 23 and came out of college after playing 5 years.

I would guess that Wypler is younger , faster and stronger than Smith. I also believe it was a giant mistake for Wypler to come out early, he could have easily been a top 15 pick next year with another year of experience under his belt. The only knock on him is that he will probably not be a Day 1 starter and needs time to mature.

Wypler was not at the senior bowl, because he was not old enough to play. :)

Could he be available in the 3rd round at #80? They could easily cut Green and sit Wypler behind Mason Cole for 1 year.

If we take any one of the top 4 OTs at 17 and then a C, preferably Schmitz at 32, then I promise to not talk sh!t about the FO the rest of the offseason.

That guy sure would help their running game with his blocking.

as most know i am not opposed to this. 1. he helps moore. 2. he helps the run game. 3. he could actually help muth not get as much coverage. 4. he's a big secondary target.
