Hello fellow brothers and sisters of TheSteelersFans. AskQuestionsLater here, bringing you my personal thoughts and feelings on Minkah Fitzpatrick. However, I will do something different this time around.

More often than not, I am always happy and willing to discuss how much or how good a player is. That being said, Minkah is different as words do not do him good justice. Instead, I implore those of you that are reading this to please read the Article by Nick Farabaugh from Steelers Depot. The link will be below here:

    Magic Minkah

His explanation through the All 22 Flim does Minkah far more harm than I could currently given my technological limitations. Either way, a good read. I was already happy when Pittsburgh traded to get him. I am even more estatic after the fact.

Again everyone, thank you for reading what I have to say and I hope you enjoyed. Special thanks again to Nick Farabaugh himself for making the article. Until next time everyone, please take care and have a good day!! :)

    Go Steelers!!!:herewego:

Changed it to love it. Immediate impact and it’s a sure pick to heighten the defense. Tired of first round busts lol.

Hope we are good next year

Safety was a position of great need on the team. What unproven college player coming out next year would you rather have than Minkah? For me I will take a proven player over an unproven one every time.

If Sean Davis wasn't injured their would be no Fitzpatrick.

Minkah was a no brainer as far as I'm concerned. He's been the best safety on his team since peewee football (I read that somewhere a couple years ago, I might be paraphrasing). I was surprised that of all teams, the Steelers pulled the trigger on him.

Kansas City was also in the running but I do not think they would have stomached to give away a First. Furthermore, even if they could, Miami would have ended up liking Pittsburgh's situation more. Pittsburgh's record is not good currently and, as such, that benefits the Dolphins.

The Chiefs record?! Bettert than ours. That said, likely not good for Miami.

I loved the trade, and I think he's making an impact. Just hope Butler doesn't have a negative effect on him.

I plan on buying his jersey, however I'm a little shell shocked about purchasing any player's jersey as my #88 color rush jersey sits in my closet waiting for me to decide if I'm going to box it up, use it as an oil rag, use it to wipe my feet with (or another part of my body), or give it as a present to a relative I'm not overly fond of.

I don't agree. Sean Davis was not a good FS, now we have one of the best in football.

He is probably referencing Tomlin stating that the loss of Davis was a significant factor in trading for Fitzpatrick.

The defense's statistics have drastically improved with Fitzpatrick, but they are skewed a bit by the awfulness that is the Bengals and the 49ers self-inflicted wounds. The game against the Ravens was probably the best indication of what this defense is now. They are better, with a chance of putting themselves back among the best in the league on defense.

Sunday night should be an interesting challenge. The Chargers have Rivers and some excellent weapons, but their offensive line is a mess. They are among the worst in the league in allowing pressure on the quarterback. That should make the Steelers' defense a tough match for them.

I also think the Davis injury helped them to decide to give up a first rounder.

Minkah works on instinct, not even Butler can screw that up. It's the difference between a football player with all the tools, versus an athletic freak who excelled in high school and college, but can't put it together at the next level because he has to think before he can react.
