A dolphins fan I know texted me this gif the day the Steelers acquired Minkah(#29) with the title 'Good riddance, enjoy this in the north.

    He doesn't text me anymore.

He deserved it. The lone Steeler. I though their was a possibility Highsmith would have made 2nd team.

He was also voted all pro by the players, in a first time held vote.

Yet PFF= Pretty F**king Fake has never ranked Him as the top safety...that I can remember. Maybe this year. I haven't looked.

PFF has Minkah 1st team and Cam Heyward 2nd team. Edge Rushers were 1st team Garrett and Parsons; 2nd team Nick Bosa and Crosby.

I looked at the list and it's becoming more and more like probowl voting. Look at the 1st team OL it's a whose who of top players at their position for the last 5 years and I'm not sure their play was so good as much as they are vets and that lowered the bar.

Oh yeah congrats Minkah well deserved.

Steelers DT Cam Heyward Not Happy About All-Pro Snub
The Pittsburgh Steelers star believed he had a place on the All-Pro rosters.

After the teams were released, Steelers defensive tackle Cam Heyward shared his thoughts on the matter, and that he believed he should've had a place on the First or Second Team rosters.

"Respect for those guys but man seems like a lot of goal posts moved to make arguments these days. I guess back to the lab," Heyward tweeted.

Lawrence and Simmons finished with 7.5 sacks each, with Lawrence having seven tackles for loss and Simmons having nine.

Heyward finished the season with 10.5 sacks, 74 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, a forced fumble, fumble recovery and four pass deflections this season.

I don’t care about rankings or lists, our defense has 3 true stars; Heyward, Watt and Fitzpatrick. All are great and irreplaceable. We can have a discussion about their worth relative to each other but they are all stars.

Many fans on this board and other types of outlets say future HOF Cam, I think he is great and certainly a top D lineman, but these kind of snubs make me feel he will never get serious consideration. As hard as it is to get in he may be borderline anyway, but certainly deserves credit for the way he has played.

D-line is getting screwed because they only take two. Then they take 2 edge rushers which is more of a linebacker and they take 2 more linebackers.

Sadly I agree. A Super Bowl win before Cam retires would greatly help his case

To think people bashed the trade way back on September 16th of 2019 despite knowing full well that Sean Davis simply was not it. Minkah on the other hand?.... A god send. He may not have Troy's "Devil May Care" attitude for tackling but Minkah's Ball Skills are eerily reminiscent. If not his Ball Skills, his play making, instincts and Football IQ are among the best, if not the best, in the NFL. Mink is sijmply a bonafide badass in every sense of the term; up there with his cohort TJ Watt.

Example?! Only two players in Steelers History have earned First Team All Pro within their First Five Seasons three times on the Defensive Side of the ball. The first is T.J. Watt. The second is Minkah.... lemme repeat that.

T.J. Watt and Minkah Fitzpatrick are the first players in Steelers History to earn First Team All Pro three times within their first Five Seasons. Not Mean Joe, not "Hot Rod", not Mel Blount... not even the man in my avatar.... those two.

So again... was trading essentially Austin Jackson for a future HOFer in Minkah worth it?!?....

I can imagine he is texting you less considering the Dolphins have received little to no return for Austin Jackson; the player whom the Dolphins essentially traded for Minkah.
