Doubling down on the run I guess.

Anyone know the thinking behind dropping Miller? Minimal contributions.... But is that the player or the play caller? Either way, seems like an odd move going into the playoffs unless they need the roster spot for someone.

They dropped Miller so Calvin Anderson can be activated from the IR

Seriously when I was younger I don't remember players being out for the year over a hamstring and ankle.
Roman Wilson was just another terrible pick, sorry.

Curious why you think he was a terrible pick?

    Agreed!

I think it is fair to wonder how successful he will be, but he deserves a chance to show why he was drafted. He did come into the league with very good speed, ability to get open, good hands, etc.

I remember when some Steelers fans thought Polamalu was a bust in his first year…..some are quick to judge draft picks. Give em a few years at least.

Polamalu in his second year was utilized better in Lebeau's defense. Lebeau took advantage of Polamalu's aggressiveness. Lewis, the previous DC, ran a "bend but not break" D similar to what we have now. We don't have the talent (like Troy) in the secondary.... that we had 20 years ago.

Basically I think he was a terrible pick because the Steelers reached for him.
There was a reason he lasted until the 3rd round.
I said before the draft I didn't like his body type. These tiny WRs don't seem to work for the Steelers.
I wanted a WR in round 1, would have made a big difference this season I'm telling you.
Pickens will never be a #1 , and this team has no #2 either.
Lets hope for some luck Saturday with some turnovers w/o Flowers.
Team needs lots of upgrades in the WR, RB department this off season.

Look at the teams in the AFC . Chiefs , Bills, Ravens, Chargers, Bengals ....
Steelers are not ever ever beating them without at least 2 Great WR's and a QB for that matter .
You have to score points to win in the AFC.

    Que up a loss then.

The last I saw Roman has been practicing. I'm sure he has been studying the intricate passing routes  I don't get keeping him on IR when your wide receiver starved.

We may need Andersen to back up on the line with Spencer Anderson starting if McCormick is out.

Yeah, but I don't think players take the needle like they did in the old days. I remember watching players return for the 2nd half of a game, where they were carried off the field in the 1st half. :)

Everyone is wanting to play into their 30s, and taking something to ignore the pain every game does not lead to a long career.

Roman Wilson's lost first year is frustrating, but I don't see a reason to blame him or his abilities as a WR for it.

That said, losing a year of development as you're transitioning to the pros is particularly bad timing.

I’m thinking Roman’s injuries are probably healed now, but he’s being held out because he’s missed so much practice/playing time.

As of Friday at 2:30pm EST that has not happened. Their official site only shows 52 players which is odd. Why have they waited to fill the 53rd spot?

    When I say it's a game you say it's a business, when I say it's business you say it's a game.
