I like this move slightly, but I keep asking myself what about all the other players
on the practice squad at multiple positions that we have added over the last couple of years. Where is the player
development of these players? They have not been good enough to see much real playing time.
These players need coached up. Where is our player development? This is why you will continue to see drafting
of SS Wr, OT, CB.QB these practice squad players are not up to the varsity level (another Tomlinism).

I don't have the NFL per centage of players who go from PS and continue on to a productive career (let's call productive being on a roster long enough to collect a pension..3 years), but I would guess it is very low. Not disputing that some do develop and even become NFL stars, but a cut player is usually cut for a reason, not so much about development, they just are not good enough..period.

Our development has really went down hill after the passing of WR Coach Daryl Drake... Steelers were known to take about any WR , regardless of round, and turn them into a good WR...

It's went downhill now...WR's stunk as a whole last year, and many continue to regress imo... Washington, JuJu, Cosmo Claypool...Even Johnson had a good case of the Dropsies

My opinion is because Ben was at His worst last year, and IMO Qbs make 97% of Wrs.

Of course we have had some decent WR, but really just as many flukes since around 2012 or 13.
