Honestly? I really don't know as I tend to "brain flush" any political or religious comments made here. I have some whacky ideas of my own, so I try not to hold people's beliefs, or lack thereof against them.

Either way, I'm sure to be able to tick you off eventually. ;) As someone who isn't locked into one particular ideology, I tend to raise hackles equally. :)

Bahahaha. Just saw this and imagining TTF moderating this board as Severus Snape just strikes me as f-ing hilarious.

Why is it ok for pro gay players to be able to voice their opinion on this basketball player announcing that he is gay....but yet Wallace is an idiot and should "STFU" while trying to voice his opinion on the matter?

I don't talk politics of religion here. Its just not the place. I, unlike Mike Wallace, know when to just zip-it. Besides, Im sure I'd piss off at least 1/2 of the people if they knew my thoughts...and thats only natural.

Person A's opinion is that they should be able to live the way they want to, and have the same rights, and be able to live the same life as everyone else.

Person B's opinion is that person A is wrong, and that person A should be judged for the way they live.

    Don't see the difference?

Agree 100% with BFT and I think the Tim Tebow comparison is fair. Would it be a story if some idiot tweeted "I just don't understand Tim Tebow's over the top Christianity?" Hmmm?

As for Wallace, he'll never be accused of being the brightest bulb in the chandelier and I'm not sure he should be commenting on much of anything. But this is much adieu about nothing if you ask me. Big Deal. He doesn't understand homosexuality. Now let's demonize the guy why don't we because he said something perceived as negative about the sacred subject of homosexuality.

The FACT of the matter is, there is a political element to this that maybe we're not recognizing. There is an agenda behind all of the "coming out" in professional sports. We all have a free will and have the ability to make any choice in life that we want to make. We are all going to be held accountable for those choices. Even if you don't believe in a deity that will pass judgment on mankind, people are still held accountable for their choices even from a purely humanistic standpoint. If you're an NBA Center, I couldn't care less if who you chose to sleep with last night was of the same sex any more than I couldn't care less about the guard on the team that slept with three women the night before and none of them were his wife or the forward on the team that chose to indulge himself in internet pornography all night long the night before. Keep your sex life to yourself and don't make a political issue out of it and know that we all make decisions that will define us in this life or the one to come.

Anyway, I have purposely tried not to get on here and participate in any political commentary related to this issue or any other, I come here for solace from those things. But I agree with BFT that those of us who may disagree with the lifestyle based upon our religious convictions are made to feel like bigoted hatemongers because we don't support it. That is absolutely FALSE. I have family members that are gay and friends that are gay. I love these people. I don't agree with their lifestyle because of my own personal convictions but that doesn't change the fact that I love these people unconditionally. They have the right to make their own choices in life, God gave that to all of us, but there are those who want to continue to politicize the issue and marginalize any that don't agree. And for anyone to say that this is on par with the bravery of someone like Jackie Robinson, I vehemently disagree with that statement. That's an insult to the memory of Jackie Robinson IMHO.

I hope Troy and Clark are gay just so it would give them another reason to crush this punk when we play the Fish.

I've stayed pretty quite on this thread but your not gay by choice. My best friend who is also my sons god father is gay and trust me he did not choose this and struggle with it for a ling time. Me and him lived together for awhile and I'm wide open when it comes to stupid questions and just about all of his friends said if they had the choice they would be straight. His entire family turned on him and wouldn't speak to him or even acknowledge the two kids him and his partner adopted from a meth head. Trust me when I say this it is not a choice. Now I have no problem with it and never have my biggest thing is be you and we can be cool.
