    To make half this board's heads explode, a writer for the San Diego Union Tribune put out his "best" list halfway through the season this morning:
    MVP: Mahomes
    Comeback player: Ben
    Top coach: MIKE TOMLIN!

    I like Ben for comeback player of the year, but.............
    if Alex Smith does anything in Washington, he deserves it. Ben may play better, and have more success, but Smith came from a much darker place.

    Agreed. I always liked Smith. I think he's better than he gets credit for.

    Ben is winning games & advancing his team to the playoffs. Smith is always on the trading block.

    I think I posted it elsewhere regarding the 79 Steelers getting crushed by the 1-5 Bengals. T
    Smith threw two Favre like INT's last week for Washington. Maybe it's just the offense but they were pretty egregious.
