I suspect that Tomlin's relationship went a little beyond the coach and player with Harris. He liked the guy.

Harris was an outspoken " locker room lawyer type " with a low yard per rush and yard per catch for catch average. I was glad when this San Fran bay man was gone. He was part of the problem.

But did Tomlin have a hand in the exit of a Steeler player by suggesting he look elsewhere?

" He said, 'Najee, I always talk to you not as if you are a player, but as if you are my son'... He was like, 'If you was my son, I would tell you not to come back here."

I suggested before that I suspected Najee did something or said something to make himself persona non grata

And when your boss tells you to go away you are definitely persona non grata

This just verifies why the Steelers did the right move by not going with the 5th and showing him the door

Too bad after 4 years in college Najee still can’t speak English

Maybe he was just too dumb

Another guy we had to replace. We've missed on so many high draft prospects when back in the day we hit more than missed. We have to start winning on draft selections. Takes too long to recover from multiple bad drafts.
