Mike Tomlin looks like a genius for starting Russell Wilson

It's like I said a few times.
I didn't know if Wilson would help, but I knew for 100 % that players were getting open. I was just hoping he would see them, and that's why I wanted to see the change.

 

Once again, what was so bold about the move? Offense was stagnant, defense really kept us in games and lost 2 games… Indy and Dallas…passing was ranked 28 in league scoring 20.. not a bold move.. an attempt to try and be better on offense

 

It was a coming out party for the Offense.

Players made splash plays.

 

If Wilson was washed,it would been such a mess...They were still 4-2 with Fields for a team that you had predicted that the steelers were going to be 5-12 or 6-11 before this year!

 

Why? Failed test go back to Fields. Act like Fields is a HOF, i have other football fans that aren’t Steeler fans that say we need a qb when Fields is in there.
So glad fans aren’t running the team

 

Agreed… i didnt want either one of these retread qbs… so whats your point? Im sure defense has nothing to do with any of the wins?

 

If both QB are similar talent,you go with the younger guy,no matter what.....But of course if Wilson has still something left in the tank,this is a complete different story!

 

You do know , the qb situation is still in shambles. Russ is near 80 and Fields isn’t a franchise qb. I highly recommend drafting a qb, your thoughts?

 

Of course,our defense is our strength and this is a reason why the defense are the highest paid defense in the NFL this season.....Who would been your choice at the QB position if you didn't want Wilson or Fields?

Pickett is garbage and Rudolph is average at best

 

I like Wilson, but I don't think we win any games if the D isn't as good as they are. That's why I think we have a real chance if Wilson can keep it up.

 

I would wait until the 2026 draft,when this is likely the draft class at this position will be stronger....can't reach on a QB like 2022 with Pickett

 

To me at beginning of season or when we got Russ and Fields was laughing. A step up, of course , from last yrs qb room, but not by much. I want to go old fashioned route and draft a qb. I like Carson Beck
To me, all the Steelers did at qb was put a bandaid on. To be 5-2 is awesome.

 

Look, if Steelers can wheel n deal to get the 10 pick in draft get a qb.
Dude we had people on here wanting to pay $30 mil a yr for used wrs!

I want our next young QB to be a high talent with a high ceilling....I don't want to have a average QB at this position....not in the first round

Defense staying healthy is definitely the key!

 

I don't know much about the QBs in 2026 and this is just I hear that 2026 is the stronger class at this position

 

Honestly, draft is hit or miss. We both know this. You can have an outstanding college career, but a huge step up in NFL.
No way I thought when we drafted Ben I thought he was going to be a future hall of famer. Brady the GOAT, taken in the 6 rd. Like I said its hit n miss

 

But watching a couple of games of Ben , knew he had something special.
KFP not so special, was like he totally forgot the fundamentals of the game. Spinning in pocket, running into sacks,not sure if he could read defenses at this level

 

Thats almost 2 yrs away. Anything can and will happen in that time.

If Wilson wasn't playing Pickens isn't getting those opportunities to make plays, he would be on the sidelines pouting.
