Ravens and Bengals will battle for AFCN next season and poor Browns will probably still be beneath us.

Does that mean we get smirk man as coach? LOL.

I`m shocked. Maybe it was Tomlin`s idea, not from management.

I have a pretty low bar at this point. Just so long as I dont hear " we gonna do what we do " or "we dont concern ourselves with what other teams do" ever again the staff will get a 3 year pass from me.

No matter the head coach, the steelers need a full rebuilding....Don't need to tank, but just a rebuilding, take a step back in the goal to be better after that

We’ve avoided the pain the past 10 years and look what it got us. I’m willing to deal with a few bad ones and then rise from the ashes

Quit with the losing season crap.

No Super Bowl, no winning season.

Getting blown out in first round playoffs is weak.

Crazy thing,we could make the argument,Taylor was the worst head coach of the AFC north. Not sure he would be a head coach again, the only one we can said that for sure

Seems that the trend of most hires leans offense, but hard to look at teams like Houston and New England which chose a defensive guy and not think "hey, it worked for us before". Whichever they choose, it has to be well thought out that it's the right guy who can mold young players into the remaining blend of veterans.

Its about 5 years too late, but the time is now. There is legitimate hope in being a Steelers fan right now. The possibilities are endless. There will be a rebuild period (I would assume some vets on big contracts are headed out the door), and we still need to get ourselves the QB of the future... but we were never winning anything with Tomlin in today's NFL. We are closer to our next postseason win today than we were yesterday (which is sad to say).

Lets go get ourselves a young talented coach and make some hay.

Grateful for everything, Mike T was a cool guy, but it was more than about time. The franchise was going around in circles for years. In my opinion, this came 5 years late.

It's a spank-a-palooza at DJs and the mikey's places right now Y'all got what you've been whining for all these years. Who'll be the first to demand the new guy get fired?
On a side note, glad Tomlin left. Hope they find a good replacement!

I was one of the ones that wanted Vrabel, but got teased a bit when Patriots lost to Steelers. His defense is stout and doesnt give up 3rd and long on a consistent basis. As long as we don't get Arthur Smith for a head coach. I don't want Teryl Austin anywhere near the DC Job.

It’s crazy. The supposed hall of fame coach leaves the next coach with absolutely nothing. Noll and Cowher left franchise and hall of fame players. Tomlin has reeked the entire process of a once great organization.

I am thinking (guessing) that MT was told he would
have to get rid of coaches. And he decided he had had enough. I mean
Think about how much time these HC's spend of their life at the facility.
Granted he was well compensated thru out his career.

Ditto. He was exceptionally successful in his first few years, and no it wasn’t “easy” to just “win with Cowher’s players.” But it’s time. Obviously.

Maybe Khan is thinking clean house, get rid of old players and get a high draft pick in 2027.
