They should but it seems that many challenges are a 50/50 proposition. Do the coaches in the both have the benefit of seeing the angles of the yard sticks? How about they yellow lines show on live tv? I doubt the coaches in the both have access to live broadcasts of the games. There's probably some rules against it.

They also have to make a decision very quickly.

This really is an annoying thread to see after a big win like today.

If you want to complain about Tomlin, it should be over why he keeps Artie Burns around!

Not the ones who expect better from the HC. Tomlin is incompetent.

I dont mind being mic'd up and watch replays and let Tomlin know. Put me in coach. I knew it was not getting overturned

I said that before. They have a few seconds to make a decision without the benefit of time and multiple views that fans have.

Go ahead and be complacent about Tomlin. Steelers will be one and done again.

    Obnoxious? Absolutely.

    Expected? Most definitely.

Such is to be expected from a successful franchise. Even in victory. :lolol:

Even if they lose in the playoffs as a one and done, there will be other factors that determine it, you know like the players on the field .

I don't know if the folks in the box get yellow lines or replays and such like we all do and yes it's move or lose decision as the next snap eradicates any second guessing review. Hard spot to be in for sure. I didn't see the need for the first challenge yellow line or not. His hat was short of the marker and he didn't attempt to reach across the marker. Solid catch though I'll give him that.

Juju's catch wasn't ruled a TD and I don't believe you can challenge under 2 minutes or am I thinking wrong?

Conners play I can see warrant a challenge but it was a 50/50 that might have worked in their favor, however like a lot have said you're 1st and goal at the half yard line... Save the challenge and do your damn job.

TV announcer thought he was probably in. I saw a camera angle looked like he was in. Definitely worth a challenge whereas the first challenge had ZERO chance.

I remember reading somewhere that the coach/coaches in the booth have access to the network broadcast of the game, but that might be wrong.

After the win I won't be complaining too much, but that first challenge was laughable. I assume he received "advice".

Interesting... We've all been told the yellow line is not official so I'd presume them folks in the box were more of official yardstick scientists either way. Don't matter, good win that should've never been that close. Need 7's not 3's but also good to see boz earning his today.

I'll see if I can find where I read it.
Every replay challenge is a gamble, and they seem less likely to change a ball spot than anything else.

I certainly don't care about the failure to challenge after the victory. The big mistake was the challenge in the first half. It wasn't close. Switzer was clearly short of the first down. If he still has that challenge, Tomlin probably throws the red flag on the play by Conner. They had looked great in short yardage, so that probably factored in as well. Of course, the Bengals had help with the officials letting them get away with holding James on second down, too.

The Steelers did some dumb stuff today, but I don't understand being angry about it now. They got out of Cincinnati with a huge victory. The defense was decent, though it failed late. The offense saved the day. Boswell made all his kicks. Conner played great again. There is plenty to be happy about and that's where my focus is right now.

Tomlin wins because of #7. When Tomlin starts winning with Dobbs or Rudolph...I'll change my mind.
