I guess that depends on which Ben shows up on game days.

Not that I want munch gone or anything but sarrett has been working close with munch for several years now and we may not be in too bad of shape if he does.

    Aside from me? lol

    Munchak
    McCarthy
    McDaniels
    Patricia
    Vrabel maybe?
    Cowher or Arians return?
    Pat Fitzgerald could be interesting

After this end of season collapse, we could replace him with a case of IC Light and I’d be cool with it.

Which if true, the Rooney's shouldn't be in this business anymore if they're that wishy washy.

Maybe Tomlin could be promoted to Assistant GM to make room for Munchak at HC.:sneak:

I hope the Steelers if put in the situation, don't go after these rehashed coaches.
I hope they would go for a FRESH innovative, teaching coach that commands respect.

Given the circumstances that I’ve read about Munch’s departure from Tennessee, I’m not sure he’s an ideal head coach. Supposedly he was asked to make changes to his staff due to certain units underperforming, and he refused. I think we’ve seen that a good head coach needs to understand that it sometimes takes tough decisions, and not being the nice guy to be successful.

    I'd be okay with Munchak
    McCarthy? No thanks
McDaniels ? Not sure he'd be agreeable
Patricia and Vrabel already have jobs
Cowher? He'd be insane to give up the life he has now
Arians already said he's only interested in one of two teams. Bad health
Fitgerald? I don't know who he is so, maybe

If he wasn't already 1,000 years old, I'd like a disciplinarian like Coughlin

I could go for a whopper myself right now or a triple whopper would make it truly a new year.

    From the article:
"Munchak is the sort of coach teams love to talk to in January but rarely hire. Munchak had an unmemorable three-year stint with the Titans earlier this decade."

You mean like from the Tomlin School of nice guys. We don't really know the circumstances surrounding his firing. Maybe Munchak stood up and took all the blame for the teams lack of success. He didn't feel it was his staffs fault and shouldered all the blame. That's a pretty stand up guy thing to do. That's leadership as opposed to us scapegoating coordinators. I'm so anxious to see how Tomlin sums up this years disappointing season. Does he place blame on himself and the coaches are does he blame TOs and not making enough plays? or is it " such is life"

If we lose Munchak we lose his assistant as well, Shaun Sarrett. You have to think that Munchak would want to bring him to his new team.

I seem to recall Bellicheck being pretty unremarkable in his first HC job too...

Interesting perspective, I’ve always seen that as a positive. A coach loyal to his assistants enough to snub his businessman boss.
