not to say i wouldn't want munchak here but meyer may be getting a bad rap too. the line played better than given credit for earlier than the end of the season this year, the qb didn't help them much until later in the year and the OC up until that point.

As you should also quit making stuff up. lol. When you posted to me '...you don't know', I never stated I knew, I simply projected the thought of 'probably' after reading several articles on Google and from many different posts here past and present. Perhaps probably was a poor word choice, but it in no way suggests I said I know..or do not know. So using that word like, You are probably an a$$. is not stating I know you are one, just saying based on other asshats I have known, you are more likely to fit the description as not. Not being a licensed expert on asshat detection does not prevent me from having an opinion.

Maybe, but if Chuks goes elsewhere and becomes an above average OT, then you know our coaching sucks the big hairy one. Dotson, Green, Chuks all becoming above average (briefly I'll grant you) would be VERY telling.

And the Steelers OL got better without those three guys you mentioned.

No, Meyer is still under contract as the OL coach, I don't see Munchak coming back to the Steelers.

I really doubt it. If it was to happen, we would actually hear buzz and would have seen it this week.

I like him. The beginning was meh on sacks and he got better.

But our OL coach now gets 0.1 rushing yards more. But he also needs to improve on sacks, like munchak needed to.

Is it weird we haven't filled out our coaching staff by now? I get taking time on OC's and DC's. But I guess I'd expect Smith (being a veteran coach) to have a list of people he wants to surround himself with. Wouldn't that process happen pretty quickly?

The O-line coaching job I guess would be the most important job to fill. Maybe we are waiting on answers from some people?

Don’t we already have an OL coach?

Sometimes it takes more words to explain to those who do not know. Glenn I really do not care about most anything you write, but this has been truly fun on a boring locked in snowy weekend. I digress, when the urge to scratch gets strong I may get back to you, until then enjoy your life, at least someone will.

I guess I was expecting an offensive over haul with Smith taking over. You think Smith is just going to take the staff given to him? That's seems strange especially for an OC with plenty of experience and was a former Head coach.

When did Meyer sign his new contract? The 2022 contract he signed on February 15th has expired. I have net seen anywhere where Meyer has been extended for another 2 years?

Right now there is no O-Line coach under contract.

Has anyone seen Meyer going anywhere for these post season bowl games? Last year the Steelers were sending Meyer all over to scout for O-Lineman.

Based on adding outside talent, but not based on OL coaching. It's still just an average OL. We need more. Maybe a competent OC, even if not my first choice, will make the OL better. The HC/OC and DC like to bring the stink. Unfortunately our defense is only going to get worse until the HC and DC are jettisoned into outer space.

“I think we need to be better on the offensive line,” Rooney said. “Those guys got better as the season went on. There’s no denying that. We’ll assess where we are. If there are places we can make improvements, we will.”

My 6 yr old yellow lab girl is the same...wants to play ball ALL DAY everyday. She gets me up and moving when I don't want to, but love her death.
