Too old to help get one yard on the goal line or not trust them on a 4th & 1 late in the game ? Why are they even on the roster ? I'm not buying that

If Wis could still play, he would be on a roster.

I thought he went to their practice squad, him being gone is no big loss.

They are starting a guy whose game experience at center is the XFL and who have the members on this board think is crap and yet you think the guy coming off 2 SB wins isn't worth having on the roster. Plus your original statement pretty much that he is unemployed. He is a chief practice squad or 53. But you have made me see the light lets roll with xfl guys and Ebron. SB bound baby let's go.

If the Steelers thought Wis could still play, they would've kept him.

Could be. Also could be that several of the utility players that had been promoted from the practice squad no longer had any ps eligibility and they need to make some hard choices. Cutting Wiz because he was coming off injury wasn't ready yet but had to be activated and had a bigger cap number than Trey Edmunds and a couple of younger guys. Who knows for sure how things would shake out. What should be known is that behind the 3 Vets on the Oline is a converted RT making his 13th start at LG and having a mixed grade, a RT who didn't beat the guy who was the starter but is in due to injury and a journey center who played for a big name program in college but couldn't catch on with a pro team. Oh and a rookie. Not exactly how you want to look at a playoff run.

You are missing the point. It takes a lot more than just mere brute strength to power a run via one yard. Every blocking assignment has to be executed by the letter. The muscle definitely helps but the mental aspect is more important.

This line has the mental aspect down. That is not the issue. The issue is that the tremendous power they once had is no longer there. Well..., that and some major problems with run blocking principles (see Chukwuma Okorafor).

Oline was among the best in the league when Bell was playing.

This run blocking unit ranks at the bottom if not dead last.

I disagree with needing a high pick RB, whether we improve the run blocking scheme with high draft picks or otherwise. The line makes the RB. Anthony McFarland for instance would be quite godly behind the 2015 line.

    This.

A flex option for Offensive Line or Left Tackle. Jalen Mayfield (no relation to Baker), Liam Eichenberg, Alex Leatherwood, Trey Smith, Josh Myers, Rashawn Slater, Jackson Carman and Creed Humphrey. Names to know before the 2021 NFL Draft comes rolling in.
