Mike Mitchell had surgery to repair torn labrum

I had no idea he was injured. He really is a tough competitor. Hope he recovers in time for training camp.

 

He had that surgery 4 months ago. He'll be ready to go.

 

Hasn't been the case for Senquez Golson.

 

What do you mean? Golson had surgery right before training camp. Mike had his back in January.

 

You can't let minor details get in the way

 

If Golson followed Mitchell's timeline, he would have been placed on short term IR and played last season. However, my point was Mitchell is too valuable to miss any time at all.

 

At first I thought it said another word starting with lab and thought this was a thread bashing Mitchell's toughness.

 

Golson theoretically could have been back by December and if you really want to get aggressive, November. Season is over at that point, especially if you're a rookie. Apples and Oranges here.

 

Not to mention the steelers used their "IR designated to return" tag on Pouncey
