I am listening to 93.7 the Fan and they are reporting Mitchell got into it with a bunch of fans on Twitter today. Supposively the team banned him from using social media. If you have access to this radio station they are going to get more involved into the story in a few minutes.

The team can say please, but they can't ban him from social media except for just before, and during game times.

That's what I was wondering. I don't see how they can enforce this. They simply don't have the authority.

Hopefully Troy is back, he may be washed up but still wouldn't have just sat there while their TE caught a TD

Any player that tells a fan to kill themselves should be cut from the team and suspended from the NFL.

Yup.. Agree with ya shaner.. Personally I wish there were stricter rules on social media and this team. Some of these guys take their knuckled headed plays on the field and continue the stupidity on their social media accounts.

Mitchell needs to elevate his game.. That's the only way you shut up the critics ( hates) lol

No it doesn't. The fans are basically clients, they pay the salaries. Players can't be saying that kind of stuff no matter what the fan says.

Strongly disagree, some of these fans are out of control, saying vulgar things about family members and what not. If he said that to a fan that just criticized his play, yeah, way out of line, if it's an example of the former, totally understand it, those fans are ****, vile disgusting people.

Now as an employer, I get why the Steelers reacted the way they did, but as a fan, who are we to say he should accept that type of abuse.

I personally think all players should avoid social media, focus on football and avoid drama like this.

Where is the vetting process with these players?
Somebody better start doing some leg work. I can't remember a time the Steelers have brought
    in these type of players.
