    Yeah, for sure.
Most times they're fairly close with the estimates on how long a player will be out from injury.
More recently the Shazier injury comes to mind. If I recall correctly Tomlin said in his press conference following the 49ers game that Shazier had a stinger and should be back next week.

Anyway I hope Adams gets back on the field soon.

What is Adams status right now anyway? Is he on IR, PUP or some other list? More curious than anything.

PUP. He'll likely go to IR in the near future.

As someone who pays very close attention to it- most of the time they're not.

Stingers are one of those oddball injuries that don't really have a solid medical prognosis for return.

Which makes sense, because really what is a "stinger" anyway? It's essentially nerve damage. Each player is different with how they react and how their nerves respond to rest or treatment.

Lets not forget the idiots in charge drafted him because he was a steeler fan and he had nothing else going for him.....

After testing positive for drug use at the 2012 NFL Scouting Combine the Pittsburgh Steelers initially removed Adams from their draft board. Determined to be selected by his favorite team, Adams personally met with head coach Mike Tomlin, general manager Kevin Colbert, and team owner Art Rooney II. After professing his love for the Steelers and willingness to rectify his mistake, Adams was reconsidered by the historically strict franchise. He was selected in the second round (pick 56) of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

You seriously cant believe that. He was on their draft board already, it states it in the very thing you posted. They took him off because of drug concerns, Adams has kept clean since. From that standpoint, they were right in reconsidering him.

So, he's not using drugs, good for him, but he also has been a huge disappointment as a tackle, always hurt and when he does play he gets punked all the time, no thanks, he is a bust in my book.....

Steelers placed OT Mike Adams on the reserve/PUP list.
A total flop as the 56th overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft, Adams showed up to Steelers camp with a back injury and never got into a practice. Pittsburgh has a lot of talent in the skill positions, but has struggled drafting during the tenure of GM Kevin Colbert. Adams has been a huge miss. Aug 31 - 4:22 PM

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Ray Fittipaldo said Steelers T Mike Adams has had a "dismal start to training camp."

A 2012 second-round pick, Adams has been dreadful in 16 career starts, and has apparently looked equally bad in camp. Adams is unlikely to push incumbent left tackle Kelvin Beachum for snaps this season.

His staying off the drugs proves the Steelers were right in that regard. Adams convinced them that he would stay clean and thats why they put him back on their board, not because he is a Steelers fan :lolol:
