Those back hair waxing can be pretty invasive. 4 weeks seems reasonable. :lolol:

My comment or why the focus on Adams? If I was going to make a list of things that concerned me going into the 3rd day of training camp with 1 being the most important and 10 being least important, then Pouncey being on the PUP is number one. Adams being out four weeks is like 25 followed closely by Landry Jones throwing 2 picks during the 7 on 7s drill in the redzone. That would be like 27th.

That would be very optimistic. I didn't read that before...it would be good news. But back surgery is always an iffy thing. I didn't say I knew he was done for the season or his career, just was suggesting that back surgery (of any kind) can lead to just that.

Doesn't matter why he is out, he is leaving the door wide open for the Villanueva to take his spot... Apparently Villa came in at 340...

    Bump.

It's definitely been over 4 weeks since his "procedure". Hope his back is healing OK.

Biggest waste of a 2nd rd draft pick. I don't care how cheap he came. Cheaper is not always better.

After last night, o-line depth is once again my biggest concern. Adams' absence just compounds this.

I can think of worse, Sweed comes to mind.

Adams was rounding into a nice back up, not what you want out of a 2nd round pick but hope hes able to return.

I agree. I am rooting for him AV even if he is Army.

BTW for those Marines and Army who served pre 1990. That arguing stuff between services went away around 1990. As a matter in fact the CO of Camp Dawson WVA aka COL. Barnes used to call me his 1stSergeant when I took my reserves from Connellsville PA down there between 1988 and 1991 for training minus the time they spent in Iraq. And I made a lot of friends in the WVA National Guard AKA Army.

In Vnam the Army and Marines looked alike and fought alike, I lost a good Marine buddy 3 years ago to lou garrigs disease, he was only 63, we talked a lot about our time in Nam and he was my brother in arms may he rest in peace, a really top notch guy......

Yeah not sure about Adams and what we can expect to get from him or when. Hopefully he gets some time on the field to determine if we need to start looking for more options. Our OL needs to get through the rest of the pre-season as healthy as possible.

That is kinda what I'm thinking. If he can show enough to be a decent back up, and is willing to be paid at that level (after his rookie contract expires)...
Wouldn't be great value for a 2nd rounder, but wouldn't be a complete whiff either.

Thanks Coastal, your pretty top notch yourself, Jim was a drafted Marine who could have dodged the draft with flat feet, but he told the DOC he wanted in> he chose to be a Marine and go to Nam, his ashes are in Arlington with the rest of the heroes, sorry this is off topic but had to say it for my Bud....

Don't think anyone cares about on topic at this time but. I enlisted in the Pittsburgh Recruiting office. There were 33 of us. They made us a Pirate Platoon. At one point the Head dude said all you who have signed up for the Marines step over here. We did and he went down the line 1-2-3-4 1-2-3-4 . He got to the end and said all you guys who I assigned the number 3 to, step over here with the Pittsburgh Pirate Platoon and those who made it became Marines. haha.

Jim deserves to be in Arlington. Not sure where I will end up. We have a Veterans Cemetery here. Lot of civil war guys there. My favorite tombstone of all time is there. It Says

Still no word on Adams. Guess it was pretty reasonable to question the 4 week prognosis, and his season.

Disappointing for sure. I always thought he'd turn out to be a great RT in this league. I really liked the package where he came in as an extra TE too.

He has everything you want in a RT except heart. He's big and plays with a nasty edge but something is missing. I had high hopes for him but they are pretty much gone now.
