Mike Adams: down and out

Adams just recently had back surgery and is starting on the PUP list. Some concerns:

1. Who's the backup now?
2. Back surgery spells the end of his season before it begins...maybe even his career.
3. Why did he wait?
4. How did the Steelers NOT address this position need? Especially if they knew he was hurt?
5. If they didn't know he was hurt, why not???

 

I'm not sure when he hurt it but it could have been during working out. I feel like he was there and praying at mini camp. Hell it really may buy him another year if they have to IR him.

 

I feel for him or anyone with Back pain. But lets be real here...Adams has, and always WILL Suck! I mean really, his loss means next to nothing.

 

Did they say how serious it was at all? Not a huge fan but he has his moments
and don't wish a bad back on anyone. Was still holding out hope that munch would get him straightened out

 

He hurt it during OTAs

 

There's little experience in those backups. I know Adams wasn't great...but he was a decent backup.

 

I was aggravated when they picked him after that epic screw up during the combine to start with. It just seems like it's been one thing after another with this guy. I wish him no ill will but I'm just sayin'. I wouldn't be surprised if there's just a LITTLE buyer's remorse attached to him.

 

This should end this blown experiment.

 

Maybe I missed something, Tomlin said in his press conference that he'd be out 4 weeks. The procedure he had was a week ago so now only 3 weeks.

Where are you getting that he's out for the season or his career is over?

 

this was a blown call in drafting this guy. I mean, he wasn't that good to begin with and now will miss more time.

 

makes me even madder now that we didn't pick up James Hurst udfa last year.
watching the playoff game again yesterday (why I punish myself) Hurst showed he could hold his own at LT

 

After testing positive for drug use at the 2012 NFL Scouting Combine the Pittsburgh Steelers initially removed Adams from their draft board. Apparently after Adams pleaded with them to draft him, they changed their mind, you have to wonder if Adams is fudging on his promise to stay clean...

 

He has been disappointing to say the very least.

 

Things got a lot better for Alejandro Villanueva to make the roster, I hope this guy makes it. Great story to boot.

 

Yeah, this guy is a class act and says if he doesnt make it here he is going back to being an officer in the Army Rangers, you just gotta pull for this guy..

 

The guy had back surgery. What makes you think he's doing drugs?

Tomlin said he'd be out 4 weeks ( it's already been a week) so 3 more weeks.
So after reading some of these posts he's back on drugs, out for the season, getting cut and his career is over.
Some of you have some issues!

 

He must have had some of that stuff that killed Elvis and threw his back out coughing.

 

How can you get "his career may be over" out of he'll be out four weeks?
Seems very unreasonable to me.

 

The hate level by some towards Mike Adams is mind boggling! To the point that people are fabricating things.

Does anyone know what type of procedure he had done? (Tomlin never said surgery, he said procedure)
For all we know he had his back hair waxed.

Meanwhile the probowl center who has battled injury his whole career starts camp on the pup list but is less important than the backup tackle no one seems to like not being available to play for 4 weeks
