No clue why he stayed around as long as he did.....

He had several lapses on ST as well IIRC.

I think he was cut within days after that game.

I actually remember one of Tebow's "perfect" passes in the first half carrying the WR out of the side of the end zone as he made the catch, but they still awarded him the TD.

Mundy was a similar story to several of our DBs, I think. Hard hitter, seemed to have the 'attitude' that we all like to see in Steelers players... but basically not good enough, and not a high enough ceiling for development. He served well as a back up, but once it was clear he had reached a peak at that, he was let go.

But yeah, my memory of the Tebow game was that a lot was on Mundy.

A lot was Mundy and Ike, but I remember thinking (never being able to know for sure) that DL had more to do with it than Mundy. Mundy, and our defense in general, seemed way too focused on stopping the run, even on passing plays, and showed no respect for Tebow's ability to throw. That wasn't a bad gameplan going into the game, but he should have adjusted once Tebow started picking them apart.

He should have kept his mouth shut Blount. First thing you heard when he got drafted is Operah is going to have a camera follow him around in training camp. Him running his mouth made him a distraction. Steelers don't do distractions. What happened when the rams cut him? OH THE RAMS DIDN'T GIVE HIM A CHANCE BECAUSE HE IS HOMOSEXUAL. You bring attention to yourself, live with it, BTW Sams just wasn't good enough, that's why he signed in Canada. Same as the Marine Sergeant at LeJeune when they were talking about passing don't ask don't tell. He screams to anyone who will listen and the Marines said, he we are just talking about it. Right now you can't be. He got put out. I knew 4 guys who were homosexual. They never said a word and no one ever ask. One of those retired with more than 20 years service

No it is not questioning, it stands for Queer. True story I saw an interview on TV this guy was ask why they put the queer in their acronym, his answer is some of us use the word, we don't want to leave anyone out.

I watched either Michael Irving or Deion Sanders breakdown that play and pretty much placed the blame on Mundy. If I remember correctly Mundy was supposed to fake a blitz and then drop into coverage which would have bracketed the WR (over/under). Of course Mundy was late on his fake and subsequently late dropping into coverage. The rest as they say is history.

I was talking about the game, not that one play. And regardless of what Mundy did, Ike blew it on that play, too. They both did. As did LeBeau, for still not treating Tebow as the talented passing QB he was (that day).

Sad thing was most of his completions would have been knocked away with even basic pass defense. The best throw of the day was on that over-time game winner. That was right over the shoulder and in the pocket. Beautiful throw!

Everything else were ducks that shouldn't have been completions. Just one ball hawk in the secondary and the game isn't even close.

That's not true. He made good throws throughout the game. The long TD over Gay comes to mind. Plus, the OT pass wasn't an over-the-shoulder. It was a post or dig or something.

I just remember people being wide open, or what people call college open, and Tebow cut his teeth in college.

I think Michael Sam will do well in the CFL
with the wider field ends need to be smaller and faster
he will look just like Cameron Wake up here
and if he puts together 2 very good years
he'll be going back to the nfl as a part time rush end after that

no he signed the day after his commitment to dwts ended

Post, dig, whatever...that was a throw that was right on time and right where it needed to be.
