Was there any doubt Arians would want mendy, the best back in FA was steven jackson, too bad the packers signed him, and too bad we didnt trade up in the 04 draft to get him at 24 after getting Ben at 11, what a draft that would have been...

The amount of washed up Steelers players heading to the desert has well passed the point of being comical.

Isnt that the truth, but they keep hiring ex steeler coaches and those coaches feel comfortable getting players they know, so untill that link to the steelers gets broken you can expect the cards to continue to be steelers west...

Obviously the rift was greater then both sides let on, if the Steelers weren't willing to pay that, then this guy was more of a headache then we fans know. I say good riddance, we'll pick up one in the draft, we'll be fine.

This! Its not always about the money and such.

While i still think if he commits that Mendy could be a solid back in the right system...it just wont be in Pittsburgh. Its a good deal for both sides...AZ gets a potentially solid RB and Mendy gets a year to re-establish/prove himself again. Though by only going 1 yr AZ could loose him next year...but we'll see.

Yep, absolutely, my stance is not to imply I don't think Mendy is a good back, I think he is, it's just time to part ways with him.

Mendy will fit right in - in the SW desert - being a "911 Truther" he will find compatible sanctuary in nearby Area 51. I'm surprised he didn't join the Hale-Bopp congregation back in the late 90's although he was only an adolescent at the time - but he can reconsider this Fall with the expected Comet ISON set to hit the skies. Perhaps the aliens will only snag his Twitter account and put him out of his misery. This is one troubled dude. The Steelers don't need his distractions any more and the fact that the Cards only signed him to a 1 year $2.5m contract indicates he'll be on a short leash with them.

Me too. I want Karlos Dansby in a bad way. That guy can flat out play. Unfortunately the Steelers cant even afford to make me an offer, let alone Dansby

I'm just glad that Mendenhall is gone. I don't really care where he went to so long as he isn't a Steeler anymore. I was completely tired of his dancing in the back field and then carrying the ball like a loaf of bread. I never knew much about him when they drafted him but had an immediate thought of probably not going to be much.
If all he gets is a 1 year deal then I'm not the only one who thinks he is just average at best. Denver was probably only offering a 1 year deal also and probably for less money.

Imagine how different most of us would feel had Johnson made the block on Clay Mathews in the SB.

Don't forget Steelers South when Dom Capers was the head coach of the Panthers
They even had Dwight (HANDS OF STONE) Stone, what the heck was his last name? I think it was Stone
