LOL! I'd gladly shake your hand as well and the hand of any Steeler faithful ;) I think I read somewhere that FB is now at the top or near the top of the list of reasons why people get divorced. Given just what I know about the use of FB by my own friends and family I can't say I'm surprised at all. As one one of the posters mentioned social media has done some good but I see far more negatives than positives coming out of it. I compare it to owning a gun. Put it in the hands of someone who doesn't know what the hell they're doing with it and somebody is bound to get hurt. Only difference between the two is emotional hurt versus physical hurt.

I heard that divorce stat about a month ago myself. I believe it too. I don't know what happened to the days where people graduated high school, got a job, got married, had kids, and saw some of their old acquaintances just every now and then. I think Facebook makes people feel like they are "stars" or something. I just hate the thing but I'm an old school kinda guy that likes to mind my own business. This society is so narcissistic it's amazing. If people wanna go there I wreckon they can but don't be surprised when things like this happen to you. My son will not be allowed to have his own "page". Hopefully he'll be more interested in THIS website as opposed to THAT one. LOL.

LOLOLOL! Me and Tomlin are fellow Jedis! Also I think that maybe Ta'Amu must've been on this site and saw your new avatar and THAT'S what made him start acting all crazy. LOL. That girl really is pretty though.

Since RM seems ready to always let his inner "feelings" be known to the world - here's some good advice for him - don't read the sports page (either good or bad print) and become a better listener - your ears will never get you in trouble with the fan world unlike those out of control twitter fingers.

He does that all the time. He did it last year while they were criticizing him, and it didn't slow them down one bit. Proving an idiot wrong doesn't do anything if they're too stupid to know they were proven wrong.

:good: I agree with him completely. Everyone gets frustrated, and there's a place for criticism, but I've never understood the type of "fan" that just talks crap about their team all the time. We all know someone like that. I know a few, but most of them are "fans" of other teams. I have to agree that if you spend more time bashing your team than supporting them, you're more like a follower than a fan.

But yeah, being an athlete with a twitter account is like slapping yourself in the face every day. It's like how being famous means you should never google yourself. All you'll find is ridiculous unfounded hate. More horrible things than you would have imagined. Why do that? Just so you can come up with comebacks to get back at them? Shut it down, Rashard. You might be surprised how much you don't miss it.

I agree here HugeSnack. What purpose is served to berate the guys for a bad game? We have to live with the outcome eithe r way. Win or lose. I dont follow too much FB and Twitter stuff but when I read fans getting uptight and making bad comments I just think to myself these are people that are fickle and have nothing better to do and probably in alot of cases just trying to see if they can get a rise out of the players. The same person which would comment negatively about a player is the same one that if they walked by they would be the first to shake their hand, ask for an autograph and profess their love for them lol

I'd say you're right about that Bus. I've always liked that show Swamp People. I don't know if they show it in Canada or not but down here it's pretty popular. It's a reality show about gator hunters in Louisiana. There are these guys on there named R.J. and Jay Paul and they are a father and son indian team. They are by far the worst on the show and I'm always talking smack about them when they are on there. This past year during one of our Disney trips we were walking around Hollywood Studios and I saw them and ran over there real quick to shake their hands and tell them how much I love the Swamp People show. Lol. My wife was like "I thought you hated them". I was like "well yeah but still they're on Swamp People and that's pretty cool". They're actually really nice people but they still can't hunt gators as good as ole Troy Landry. CHOOOT HIM ELIZABETH!!!! CHOOOOOOOT HIM!!!!

Swamp People, BFT? You crack me up! Why don't you like RJ and Jay Paul though? I thought those guys were kinda cool. The dad (I think that is Jay Paul) is one tough hombre. Didn't he use to be arm wrestling champ? Pound for pound he looks like he could hold his own in a scrap.

Yeah they just seem kinda boastful or arrogant or something and the gators they catch are really small compared to Troy. Actually the son is really tough too and is a champion boxer. He's actually really short. I'll tell you what's funny though is that R.J. was wearing the same clothes at Disneyworld that he wears on the show! LOL. I knew him by that ridiculous ponytail that he has which reminds me of that guy from that Jean Claude Van Damme movie where they box with glass on their gloves.

I know the show your referring to but I am not a regular fan. I think I might have caught it once or twice. It's kinda of cool that you saw them and recognize them and got an opportunity to shake their hand.

Did you run home and tweet about it and tell everyone how you called them lil whiney babies and then they ran away screaming like school girls LOL

LOL. No but I did text some people that I work with and told them about it and since I'm always joking around about stuff at first they didn't believe me but I finally convinced them it was true. They had a LOT of family with them so I didn't ask for a picture. I just said "hey I don't wanna bother you but I just wanted to tell you that I like your show and shake your hand." Jay Paul looked really surprised that he had been recognized in public and said " oh thank you" and then I just went back over to my wife. She said "if we see them again you HAVE to ask for a picture" but I didn't wanna bother them. I know how bad I hate it when people come up to me when I'm out with my family and be like "HOLY CRAP! AREN'T YOU BLOUNTFORCETRAUMA??!! I LOVE READING YOUR POSTS!!!" and I'm just like "yes. yes I am but I'm just a regular guy and there's no need to get all excited. It's MYRONWEMISSYINZ that's the REAL star." I'm sure you've had the same problems too.

I agree. There is a bunch of these so called fans posting here on this message board. They talk more trash about the Steelers than Raven's fans.

Well Mendy doesn't know waht a real fan is he's a player (play you idiot and keep yiour mouth shut). I just got back from Nashville and we owned the stadium. There were more Steeler fans there than Titan fans. We did our part they didn't do theirs. I understad Mendy and others were injured but they (The players) lost the game, not the fans. We cherred we yelled our a$$ off but I nor did any of the fans stop on third down and throw the ball away; Ben did. I have been a Steeler fan longer that Mendy has been alive and I'll be a fan of our Steelers if he signs another contract with us or leaves to "Take care of his family." He isn't a Steeler fan; we are so shut up Mendy!!!!!!!!!!!
