Redman is the best back on this roster.

His yards after contact is insane. He is a beast. He runs hard, blocks well, and is an effective pass catcher as well.

He peeled off some nice runs yesterday, the 50,000 Steelers fans at Cowboys Stadium were on their feet twirling their towels and you look down and Redman is coming out and Dwyer is coming back in. Quizzical. Everyone was complaining. Well played, Todd Haley.

    Not.

Mendys heart and head aren't here, wouldn't trust him with our season on the line. Sure as hell wasn't thinking of the team when he skipped the game. If our guys would just stop fumbling, we'd be in a lot better position right now. Not saying that's our only problem, but it's a big one.

Funny how things change in week. Last week it was see you later Mendy don't let the door hit your ass on the way out. Now we want him to start again.

You have no idea whether his heart is in the game or not. Saying because he didn't come to the game means he has no heart is ridiculous. Perhaps he was so mad and frustrated about being benched that he decided to stay home. Clearly that's a stupid thing to do, but being mad and frustrated about not playing means he has emotion, it means he wants to be out there to contribute, and it means his head is in the game and with the team. If he simply doesn't care that he's not playing, well then I would question his heart, but if he's frustrated like he says he is, it means he cares and it means he wants to be out there.

The fact is we have no running game whatsoever right now. Dwyer and Redman are awful. No running game means no playaction. No running games means increased pressure on the Oline. No running game means increased pressure on Ben.

You guys can say what you want about Mendy, but he can do things that Dwyer and Redman can't. Mendy gives us the best chance to get our running game going. Mendy is the only RB that's truly effective in the passing game (Rainey isn't because they don't respect his ability to run up the gut), something Todd Haley loves to use. There's a lot of things we can't do right now because we have no running game and we have no RB who can do what Todd Haley wants to do. Mendy is that guy, and I have no doubt Todd Haley wants Mendy in the game. Time for Tomlin to give him another chance

Because most people posting are "flavor-of-the-month". I've been saying this all season. One bad game gets people fired or benched.

I'd start Mendenhall. If we're only going to give it to our lead back 10-15 times a game, Mendenhall is the guy. He can get more out of limited touches than Dwyer. A big back like Dwyer needs 20-25 carries because as the defense wears down those 2 yard gains early on start to turn into bigger chunks later. That's my take anyway.

I'm with you on Mendy... check this out...

2011 AFC Divisional... comeback against Ravens... Mendy helps get Steelers to SB45... looks like he's pushing a pile here... in a big game... where it really counts....

SB45... note the analyst... drive covers 50 yards on the ground, no Ben... Mendy punches it home... and the Steelers were down... the man dug in to get it done...

That's funny. I think the same thing about 75% of the BS you post here so were even I guess. As for the games I've been watching that demonstrate Dwyers power I only need to go back as recent as last week where he completely pancaked a defender at the line of scrimmage. Too bad I can't find a clip or I'd post it for your blind eyes to see. When there's no hole to run through, which has pretty much been the norm this year and last, Dwyer can usually fall forward for a yard whereas Mendy historically dances behind the line and ends up with a 3 yard loss. Unlike us the coaches see these guys work in practice everyday, both physically and mentally so if Mendy's not dressing for games there's a damn good reason for it whether you wanna believe it or not.

Totally agree on both Mendenhall and Dwyer. Dwyer doesn't have the speed to get outside and Mendenhall does. If Mendenhall can hold onto the ball he could be valuable.

I've always wanted mendenhall as the starter. The guy has been our starter for the past three years, then gets hurt and is never given a chance to shake the rust off. Just imagine what the guy could do behind a solid line or even a half way decent line, which we have not had for a long time.

The line has blocked better this year than in years past. Imagine what Mendenhall could do given even that! We saw how he was looking while shaking the rust off against the Eagles...

With the O-Line given Mendy, last year, he had 9 TDs and didn't play the whole season due to ACL. Have Dwyer, Redman, and Rainey, combined, even gotten close to that, yet?
